I'd highly recommend checking this out if you haven't already, a very trusted friend was telling about this a while back and I just received an invite from him to get involved in what could be the next big thing (like BitCoin). . . . This is a new currency and payment network built by ex-PayPal guys, called Initiative Q. The Q currency is currently being allocated for free if you are invited by an existing member.... The idea is that if millions of people join, Q could become a leading payment network, and, according to well-known economic models, that means the value of the reward would be around $130,000. The amount you reserve decreases every day, and each member has a limited number of invites. You can use my invite link here: https://initiativeq.com/invite/BZQr0OaiX (Don’t worry. No funny stuff. You just need to give your name and email and your spot is reserved).

It’s with a heavy heart that I pass on this news. Dave Meaby, former club secretary for LCBM and the WGRC, as well as organiser for the Army (ATSC) has sadly passed away.
I’ll pass on details of the funeral as soon as we know. Please can I ask that you let me know if you intend on paying your respects so I can pass on numbers.

Well the airgun section has taken off much quicker than expected. We've even had to extend our opening hours to cater for everyone.
If you're interested in joining the airgun section, I'd recommend contacting the team sooner rather than later, as we may have a waiting list in operation for new members if we continue to expand like this.
If you're interested email the team directly on the below email address, visit our website and use the "contact us" form, or simply send me... a message on Facebook.

The team at LCBM have been busy over the last 12 months updating the ranges appearance and range facilities.
We now have brand new target turners, newly built lane partitions with folding benches, energy efficient bright LED lighting, better sound proofing, new air ventilation/extraction.
There are also more lockers available for our increasing number of members.

User

The range is now running an airgun section open for those aged 11* and over. For more details check out the new pages on our website or contact lcbmairgun@gmx.com

Dear All,
Attached is a submission letter to the current Home Office consultation from the IGRF as well as a copy of the submission from the NRA.
Also attached is briefing paper CBP7654 which contains relevant statistics of recent firearms offences.
... The deadline to register your objections to Home Office proposals to ban .50 calibre and MARS rifles is 9thDecember 2017, please send your reply by email to Offensive.Weapons.Consultation@homeo ffice.gsi.gov.uk with a copy your local MP (where relevant).
These proposals may appear to present distant threats to your own type of shooting, however, they have been poorly presented, are not based upon the government’s own statistical evidence and, if left unchallenged, will leave a dangerous legacy for the shooting community.
Or to put it another way if you bury your heads in the sand now, when it comes to something that does affect you there won’t be anyone left to support you!
Please think carefully what you say in any response, ‘tub thumping’, emotional replies will not assist and please refrain from any comments to the effect of ‘I can shoot faster with my XYZ’ how we are perceived will influence any potential outcomes.
If this duplicates anything you have already seen please excuse that, but it is worth seeing this multiple times rather than doing nothing at all.
Please forward this message to other club members and shooters.
Best Regards,
Dale Foster Chairman IGRF

Planning for both the ATSC (The Army) shoot and the WGRC 2018 (Welsh Open) are well underway, with entry forms due out in time for the New Year.
ATSC - will be held a couple of weeks later than usual, due to a conflict with the common wealth games that affects a number of our shooters and range staff.
WGRC - will be held at Haverfordwest as usual in early August.

Another year nearly over and another brilliant trip to Germany for the IGRF (International Gallery Rifle Federation) complete. This signifies the end of the 2017 shooting season for most of us and as usual planning is well underway for all the comps next year. Team GB team won the international shoot, against Germany and Ireland 😁

Please support your sport by providing your opinion in response to the Home office’s request for feedback on this subject.
https://www.gov.uk/…/offensive-and-dang erous-weapons-new-le…
Here’s the high level overview of changes to each section:
... Acid What is the problem under consideration? Why is government intervention necessary?
The use of acid and other corrosives as a weapon in violent attacks can inflict serious harm and life changing injuries. A voluntary data return from 39 forces showed 408 cases of corrosive attacks between November 2016 and April 2017. It also showed that a fifth of offenders using corrosives were under 18 (where the age of the offender was known). The collection also showed that bleach, ammonia and acid were the most commonly used substances in attacks. There is no one single motivation but a range of different motivations, including robbery, organised criminality, gang related, domestic abuse, hate crime and honour based violence. In response to attacks, the Government has implemented an action plan.
Knives What is the problem under consideration? Why is government intervention necessary?
Knife crime recorded by the police has been increasing since late 2014 and it is now above the level of knife crime in 2010. The increases were initially due to improvements in police recording of crime, but recent figures are thought to reflect real increases in some parts of the country. The Government has been taking action, legislating where necessary (e.g. banning zombie knives), working with retailers to enforce sales restrictions, and preventing knife crime through working with voluntary sector groups. However, as part of this wide range approach, we also want to strengthen primary legislation to respond to concerns and to provide the police with more powers.
Firearms What is the problem under consideration? Why is government intervention necessary?
There is concern about the availability of .50 calibre and rapid-fire Manually Actuated Release System (MARS) rifles being available to some civilian firearms licence holders. The range and penetrative power of 0.50 calibre rifles makes them more dangerous than other common firearms and were they to be used in criminal or terrorist activities would present a serious threat to the public and would be uniquely difficult for the police to control. Due to the rate of discharge MARS rifles pose a comparable risk to the public and police as other self-loading weapons already banned in the UK. The Government need to intervene to ensure the purchase, ownership or possession is illegal.

Well last weekend was the IGRF (International Gallery Rifle Federation) World Cup. We met teams from Australia 🇦🇺 , South Africa 🇿🇦 , Germany 🇩🇪 , Ireland 🇮🇪 and we took our own UK 🇬🇧 team made up of anyone we could find from Scotland, Wales and England. When I say anyone, here's some of that team missing their return ferry ⛴ 🤦‍♂️😆🙋‍♂️
So Ireland won the International match with the GB team finishing 2nd by 5 points, out of an overall 5,000 approx. points.
