Libby'S Community Cafe

This face book page is here to promote Libby's Community Cafe. Based in the Connah's Quay branch of Citizens Advice Flintshire, the cafe was originally opened by Libby Fletcher in 2006 and was renamed Libby's Cafe to honour her memory after she sadly passed away. The aim of the Cafe is to provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all members of the local community and at the same time, providing home cooked affordable meals and snacks for those who drop in.
We run a series of formal and informal classes and groups including a monthly book club, flower arranging group, History /English group and a family tree research group. I. T. classes and digital photography classes are also available at selected times of the year.
There is also a Local Heritage walk that starts from here, taking in much of the history from the surrounding area.
The Cafe is Staffed by a wonderful group of Volunteers who generously give their time every week to ensure it all runs smoothly, without these amazing people, the Cafe could not continue to run.
Overseeing the management of the Cafe is the Community Engagement worker, Rose Boswell who helps to promote events, clubs and groups that take place here.
We have great visions for the future of Libby's Cafe that we believe will ensure the viability of the Cafe for many years to come and will allow us to continue to offer support to the residents of Connah's Quay.
