Little Mix concert. Having seen all the terrible reviews following The Killers concert I was concerned about seeing Little Mix here. I needn't have worried. We hardly queued to get in, lots of toilets, food and drink expensive but that was expected at an event like this. We had standing tickets in the Golden circle, I was expecting to be crushed in but this wasn't the case.

The staff were really friendly and helpful and I thought it was a great idea to issue the children with a wrist band with the parents mobile number on in case they got lost.

Little Mix were great and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her first ever concert. Thanks!

User

It was my first time at the Liberty , and after reading reviews about the Killers , I was a bit concerned about the toilet situation . Especially with an 8 year old, I must say , we encountered no problems. Hardly any queing ! The staff were very friendly and helpful , we were advised to pick up a pink band, for the kids , to keep them safe, If lost ! Which I thought was a fantastic Idea ! The drinks were also well priced and again not much queing .. we had a great time ..#littlemix

I have to say after reading some reviews about the last concert I was apprehensive about visiting. However we saw Little Mix last night and the organisation there was excellent, there were loads of toilets, plenty of bars and staff, the bar staff and stewards were friendly, the sound was good and the groups were brilliant of course. Parked in the Landore park & ride just a 4 min walk away and on leaving the venue there were stewards everywhere directing people and maintaining safety. No complaints at all.

User

Attended Killers gig with wife and daughter. Everything was fine until everyone was directed to the narrow pitch side entry. Once there you had fencing (that came apart catching people’s clothing and people walking into barriers) and was unclear that queues were segregated. Once in wasn’t too bad (as long as you avoided the few that probably can’t remember even being there as they were so wrecked). Got a fright when I purchased 4 ciders for £20 (which I expected) but getting a water for my daughter cost an additional £4 (think someone was lining their own pockets as official prices were £2)

User

Worst live venue I’ve ever been to. Sound was good. Band was great. No toilets in the stadium for standing tickets. About ten percent of the required toilets outside the stadium. They run out of wristbands so had to queue for ages to get back in. 5£ for a Carling. Shambles. Absolute joke the way it was run. Won’t be going again, amateurs.

User

What a shambles...... although the killers were outstanding the organisation of the liberty stadium was a complete and utter chaos. One gate in one gate out ..carnage. the fact standing tickets had to queue to go to the toilet and to get a drink (outside the ground) then queued to get back in with others who has just got there. And not only that you would only serve alcohol at on point and we had get soft drinks from another. Liberty stadium you really are shit I went to Cardiff city 2 weeks ago and had much better service. Learn your lesson. I would never come back to you after yesterday .

User

This was our first time in Swansea to see The Killers and having been to concerts at venues all round the UK, this is definitely the worst one I've ever been to. Liberty does not have the capacity to deal with the thousands of people that want to attend a concert. The queuing system for the standing entrance was beyond a joke and upon entering the stadium, the toilets inside for standing ticket holders were closed, something that should have been mentioned beforehand. You had to queue to get back out the stadium to a handful of portaloos before re-joining the queue to gain entry again.

Not being local to Swansea, we were advised to get a taxi home after the concert to our hotel through pre-concert information provided and by stewards. We expected a long queue for taxis but some sort movement of said queue. Few taxis arrived, stewards were clueless and thin on the ground and we were left queuing for 3 hours in a retail park on the edge of the stadium before it was revealed taxis weren't being allowed to that taxi rank at that point. We ended up having to walk towards the main road and flag down a cab with other groups of people who had been left to fend for themselves after waiting for a taxi. We started queuing before 11pm for a taxi, we got back to our hotel at the Docks at 2:45am. The Killers were 5 Star, Liberty are lucky to get 1.

Would not recommend, avoid if possible, try a different venue!

User

The Killers...amazing last night!! *****5 stars.

However the organisation at the venue was absolutely abysmal...never seen anything like it. We got into the venue (standing) at 6pm. I joined the queue for the bar to buy soft drinks...only to be told upon getting to the front 30mins later they were unavailable at the ONLY bar in the venue as they were alcohol/water only. So had to leave the venue to join a burger bar queue that people were pushing into, not to mention clashing with an entrance. Then had to queue 20mins to get back into the venue where a member off staff was stopping people clearly wearing wristbands.

I didn’t experience having to use a portaloo because seeing the organisation there ensured I wasn’t needing the toilet for the whole evening.

During the concert drunk people getting carried away fighting, throwing drinks over people in visible view of security who did nothing; also had a few bottles fly past my head. Felt security was non existent, but when they were they were something else. Won’t be coming back.

User

The Killers were insane. The venue and organisation were absolutely awful. I won't be returning to the Liberty Stadium again, the entire night was a shambles. The organisers need a few visits to Cardiff, try looking at The Principality, Motorpoint Arena, The Great Hall, Clwb Ifor Bach, to see how it's done properly and how to charge decent prices. They told us to arrive early to avoid the queues yet I queued to get in, queued to go to the (horrendous) toilets, queued for a drink, queued to get out and to top it all off I queued 90mins to get out of the car park I'd paid £15 to park in!!! The band were only on for 2 hours yet I was there from 4pm until 12am queuing for everything!!! It would have been cheaper and an all round better experience if the gig was in a different venue.

User

The Killers were amazing but organisation and facilities at the stadium were down right dangerous! Queued to get in the stadium, then had to queue to get back out as no toilets inside the stadium for standing tickets, then queue to use the outside portaloos, then queue to get back in! No clear lines, just people everywhere, pushing and shoving or in queues! We had our 15 year old sons with us(first concert) and it was a worry to have them or us use the toilet due to the huge crowds, not to mention the lovely sight of blokes peeing up against the gates! Managed to have a bar in the standing section though, funny that! Won’t be going to a gig here again, I’m no health and safety expert but I’m pretty sure this was dangerous!

User

The Killers on Saturday were fantastic. Such a shame the organisation at the stadium was an utter shambles. The outside toilet facilities were absolutely chaotic with the police being called to keep order. Standing tickets only had access to the outside facilities until 9.30 pm when the inside ones were opened. A great deal of fans missed half the concert for the call of nature. Catering was dreadful with little choice and highly overpriced. I attended the Stones concert at Cardiff last week with many more people and it all run like clockwork. Come on Liberty you cannot expect top class acts to come to Swansea for their fans to be treated in this way. Absolutely disgraceful.

User

The Killers concert - what a shambles! The Killers were fab, just a shame the organisation in and around the stadium was non-existent. The toilet system for standing tickets absolutely appalling - had to queue to get out of the stadium, queue for grotty portacabin toilet with fights almost breaking out in the queue because people were waiting too long and then pushing in and then another bloody queue to get back on the pitch. All in all took me 50 minutes! The bar facilities were rubbish and prices extortionate. I definitely won’t be back for any more concerts. I was at the Principality stadium last week for Rolling Stones concert and the organisation there was beyond comparison. Very disappointed with the Liberty

User

Terrible toilet fiasco on Saturday at the Killers. Ruined our evening as we all had to spend so much time outside the stadium queuing for the rubbish portaloos. Men all peeing in the hedge along the perimeter.... surely there should have at least been marshals sorting the queues as people pushing into other queues. Had to wait 40 mins to go. No other stadium I have ever visited for a concert have I every had to experience this level of toilet chaos. Had to not have a drink all evening so that I didn't have to waste another 40 mins queueing. £65 per ticket not acceptable with this level of disorganisation. However the Killers were fantastic. Could have done with more marshals on the pitch to manage some of the 'stupid' behaviour of some of the people there - barging people and drunken rolling around on the floor.

User

Organisation inside seated areas for Killers was good but seated view in Upper West block Row K seat 213 was poor , with poor sound too as we were very close to the nearest speaker. For me they didn’t represent value for money at £75. Should have asked to move I think - but felt it unlikely I would be allowed to stand just anywhere. Picture below - make up your own mind about it. Friends who booked later than us for same price, were further back from stage and had good view. I expected to be able to see most of stage and lighting effects of the show but that wasn’t case. Our coach was waiting 30mins to leave as the exit road was closed for security... A postscript - we have just watched some of YouTube videos of the concert - amazing and definitely not our experience. Chords dominated what we heard compared to YouTube ,a blast of G major and ratio of melody to bass poor, according to my guitar-playing son - he had enjoyed the concert and, as it was his first stadium gig, had nothing to compare it to, but if a Toutube video recorded by a crowd member and played on an old iPhone 5 has better sound than the actual spot we sat in , we definitely feel cheated. I expect we were blasted by one speaker only West Upper seats near stage - avoid those not worth your cash, probably shouldn’t be in use so close to speakers I suspect, no stereo sound? And from comments on Liberty’s Killers page seems I am not the only one to have considered sound and acoustics poor. If I spent £200 on a TV that had a broken screen and poor sound I would take it back. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect all tickets to have a view of a large part of the stage and to be able to hear good quality music.

User

Organisation at the Killers gig was non-existent. After well known historic events it’s shocking that all standing tickets were channelled in one gate way and out two-that’s c15k people being pushed through two gate ways at the end of the gig. Bar and toilet facilities were a disgrace. I chatted to English visitors who said their experience had put them off visiting Wales....so not only did the lack of organisation ruin lots of peoples night, looks like it is damaging Welsh tourism too.

User

Noyhing to complain about as regards venue and staff, much as we expected really, but what ruined it for me was the sound. I am certain that the Killers were great, as I have read all the other reviews, but from where we were sitting East back terrace row P the sound was awful. Sometimes I could not tell which song they were singing. I understand about outdoor acoustics having been to Glasto many times, but this was the worst sound I have ever encountered and I was so so disappointed.

The Stadium wont respond as they don't care, but I feel that myself and those others sitting where I was, and the Killers were let down by poor acoustic management. AND IT WAS TOO LOUD! and I love loud music

User

Not the first time this absolutely hideous stadium has ruined what should be a fantastic concert.... Organisation was non existent along with the facilities! No where near enough toilets available for the volume of people, and bar situation for drinks was appalling. Other venues seem to manage with ease, so why is it the liberty can't do it? I am sure the acts would be disgusted to know how short changed their fans are... Let's hope word gets out and acts no longer bother coming here! I'd rather travel further afield to see an act than ever waste my time with this shower of shit venue again! Health and safety is seriously questionable also with the entry and exit system for standing tickets also. Hang your heads in shame.... Need to re-evaluate your staff responsible for the so called planning of this as it was a disaster!

User

I really don't know where to start , The Killers were amazing last night , the sound was 10/10 ! No problem getting into the stadium BUT then our problems started !!!!! We had standing tickets - we had to exit the pitch to use the toilet & Q for 40 mins , we then had to Q for drinks ( didn't mind that ) BUT we then had to go outside again to a burger van to get soft drinks, we then joined a long Q to exit at the end until eventually another exit was opened .... Why Why Why ?

User

Had to queue separately to buy an alcoholic drink and a soft drink.

Took 45 mins to queue for a portaloo with people pushing in too. Hence missed the first 6 songs.

Stewards were unhelpful, inconsiderate and rude. No senior member of staff available to take complaints.

Pregnant women were also forced to wait for the toilet, with some forced to sacrifice their dignity when they had to squat behind a portaloo.

Another queue to leave the car park.

Left angry and frustrated. Worst venue for a gig I have been to. Will never visit here for another gig. If you have sense you wouldn't either!
