Lidl

Monmouth Lidl, great for the weekly shop access and parking can be a pain a peak times but mostly good the non food section is well stocked at this store and I can often get deals that have sold out at the other stores. Quality is also good on meat and produce. Big aisle and easy to move around store, tills are always busy but staff are quick and efficient.

My first Lidl experience, and a huge pleasant surprise. Spacious car park, massive selection (albeit not the 'usual' brands for the most part) and very good value. I've just moved to the area and this will be my regular supermarket from now on!

Lidl and Aldi are always my main port of call. This particular store is very poor. THE worst store I've encountered. New. Big store. Ludicrously understaffed on the till whenever you go. 20 minutes wait for 4 people to be served in front of me at 2:30pm on a Friday. Oddly lethargic staff with no sense of urgency given the circumstances. Been about 6 times - same every time. Will not try it again.

Very well laid out and the food is ridiculously cheap and of high quality. The check out staff are very friendly and talkative but the shop floor staff are abrupt and more focused on their work (probably due to the ridiculous demands put on them). Queues can be a problem if your in a hurry but it's not that bad.

It's the same as any discount store really although you can find a few quite nice German products on sale there, But it is what it is cheap and cheerful.

Food is usually OK in Lidl for the price, although sometimes the fruit and vegetables can be questionable. The bakery food is outstanding; one of the best around, but you need to get there early before selfish people put their grubby hands all over it (it's 'help yourself'), in their "I don't care about anyone else, I'll do what I want." attitude.

Parking is much better since the additional space.

What really annoys me (apart from a higher percentage of rude customers compared to other supermarkets) is that there are never enough tills open, and when they announce that one is opening, you then stand at the front of a checkout for a till where there is no checkout attendant for about 5 minutes, and you swear at yourself for moving checkouts - you would have been quicker staying in your original queue! Sort this out and you've got 5 stars!

Stopped while driving through Wales, pick up Bakery products for snack lunch.Great value. In house Bakery.

This supermarket is much better since the car park was expanded. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Bakery is good and there is a good selection of fruit and vegetables.

Very busy at Saturday lunch time but nice to see a fair amount of staff in store to deal with it. Car park is funny - wraps around the store with no clear / easy path to the store front for pedestrians

Superb Lidl with great choice and good parking. We go here and take the extra drive time in the chin as this is a great Lidl. It has some great choice and superb quality bread
