The new system is based on a single monthly payment (rather than every two weeks) paid in arrears directly to a bank account. Hmmm, interesting to note that the RICS have reported a drop in the number of rental properties coming to the market as the government squeeze on landlords with new policies on taxes and stamp duty has simply forced some to exit the market. So, a reduction in stock can only mean rent rises which are predicted to go up by 15% over the next five years. Nobody said it was going to be easy for landlords or tenants!
