About Lipid Maps Databases And Resource

Lipid MAPS Databases and Resource (LMDR) is a resource created in 2003 via an NIH "Glue Grant" which, as a "Lipidomics Gateway, " provides access to lipid nomenclature, databases, tools, protocols, standards, tutorials, meetings, publications, and other resources which serve the international lipid research community. The resource is an international collaboration between Cardiff University, The Babraham Institute, and the founding organisation, The University of California San Diego, currently funded by a Wellcome Trust grant. LMDR strives to meet the global demand and development of lipidomics research through continued curation of its internationally recognized classification system and lipid structure database, the largest in the world, as well as ongoing development of lipid mass spectrometry data analysis tools.
