Little World Day Nursery & Kids World Out Of School Club

⭐️⭐️We are recruiting two full time permanent staff members to join our team⭐️⭐️
The roles are: -Joint Baby Room Leader (4 days a week) -Nursery Nurse (flexible shifts, minimum 30 hours a week guaranteed)
... Both jobs will involve some 7.40am starts and 6pm finishes.
The Room Leader will: -Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in CCLD and have at least two years’ experience in a nursery. -Be able to plan and provide a range of age appropriate activities for children aged up to two. -Be able to confidently lead and support the other room staff in providing high quality childcare. -Act as key worker to a group of children, being their main carer at nursery and the point of contact with their parents/carers.
The Nursery Nurse will: -Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in CCLD. -Be able to work flexible shifts across all age groups. -Be able to work as part of a team providing high quality childcare. -Support children’s learning and development in a stimulating and safe environment. -Build and maintain effective relationships with children and parents/carers.

Happy Easter from all at Little World and Kids World. Have a lovely long weekend and see you all Tuesday 🐣

The children’s interests recently in the Foundation Phase group have been animals, so there’s nothing better than some hands on experience with the ‘Animal Man’ from ‘Corner Exotics’ 🕷🐍 The 2’s and babies joined us too 😊

The 2 year old room have been busy bees this March - we enjoyed pancakes for snack on pancake day, we had a red themed week for Comic Relief, where we played in red jelly and even spaghetti! We also had a green themed week for St Patrick’s Day 🍀 where children participated in lots of green activities and we enjoyed making chocolate truffles and a picture for our Mummy for Mother’s Day 💐

The Foundation Phase children have had a busy March. We’ve celebrated st Patrick’s day 🌈 and Mother’s Day. We went out to visit the library. The children stamped their books and then went on to W H Smiths to choose new books and paid using the voucher that they won 😀 We spent lots of time outdoors enjoying the sunshine and we have also been covering lots of maths skills with the dragon resources borrowed off our support teacher Linda 🐉

Our baby room has had a busy March. We have been looking at old McDonald‘s farm this month. We went for a walk to feed the ducks and have been enjoying the nice weather playing in our outside garden. We also enjoyed different messy plays 😊

The Foundation Phase children were happy to hear that the castle they created for the St David’s Day competition won first prize, a £25 book voucher 😃 🏰 The children celebrated world book day by acting out ’We‘re going on a bear hunt’ story and sharing our favourite stories 📚 We are also learning about the life cycle of frogs 🐸

Happy St David’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus. Our Foundation Phase group made a fantastic castle this week to enter in the comptetion for local schools and nurseries run by the Ladywell Shopping Centre. 🏰 The 2s made their own Welsh cakes this morning and everyone has sampled them. We’ve also been doing Wales themed craft and looking at daffodils 🌼

The Foundation Phase group have been using their imagination to create different objects and buildings with the new blocks we bought. They have also been spending lots of time outside where we have watched the seasonal squashes being eaten by the bugs 🐛 and have been using gross motor skills using the large loose parts.

Our baby room and two year old room have had a busy February 😊

Our Foundation phase group have been celebrating Chinese New Year this week 🧧 They have been exploring the chinese letters and having a go at mark making them. They had noodles in the messy tray and also turned our mud hut into a Chinese restaurant. Then they had a yummy chinese meal for lunch 🥡🥢 and a Chinese New Year themed Pyjama Drama session. They all pretended to be presents and did the dragon dance and had a party with their families, great imaginative play 😊 As well as Chinese New Year, after Kerrie and Jane attended updated Ready Steady Music training they have been doing sessions with the children 🎶

The baby room have enjoyed lots of different sensory and messy play activities this January. We painted with ice paint, mixed the jelly with spoons and poured the porridge oats from one bowl to another 😊

The foundation phase children have had a creative few weeks. Our topic is space and we have had lots of sensory activities in the tuff spot and sensory tray. The children have used their imaginations to blast off into space to explore the moon. They have been using the blocks and loose parts to create some wonderful rockets and spaceships. we have had some fun in the snow too ❄️🚀

The 2s room have had a busy and very messy January! We went to the library to look for books all about me, myself and I, we’ve been talking about our senses, so have participated in lots of messy and sensory play and we got our wellies on and got muddy in our outdoor construction area 🚧🛠

Happy 20th birthday to Little World Day Nursery!!! I started off with renting a few rooms at the back of the church and today I own the whole building and have expanded to 39 places in nursery and 30 places in our separate after school and holiday club at Northside. The alterations we did here last year have made such an impact. Lots has changed in the world of nursery care over 20 years, but I am so proud to still be providing quality childcare for Newtown and the surrounding villages. Thanks to my current team, you’re amazing and I couldn’t do any of this without you all, and also thanks to all the team members I’ve had over the last 20 years who’ve gone on to other things. I’ll be organising a little party soon, it’s been a bit busy this week with my two grandsons being born 👶🏼 🎉🎉
