Great family day out. Touch bit expensive. Ticket office woman was a bit moody until she realised i was welsh... the guys on the train were superb and very good at their job!

An excellent place to see some beautiful sites of snowdon and the surrounding areas. Classic railway with perfectly maintained steam engines. Well worth the visit no matter whatever weather. Trips last a good amount of time and happen frequently so easily accessible for tourists looking for something to do while in Llanberis.

Brilliant scenery and good ride, especially for the 3 yr old.

Bit pricey for what it is but the views make up for it! Make sure you sit on the right side of the train to ensure no one blocks your view -closest to the lake.

Make sure you get off at the 5-10 min stopover at the (roughly) midway point of journey and go to the lake's edge.

Very nostalgic. The smell of steam and smoke combined. Lovely trip along the lake side revealing beautiful views across the water. Situated close to the Slate Museum, a great place to spend a few hours.

It was a very hot and sunny day when we visited this attraction. You need to be aware that there maybe a wait of a ride if bussy. The ride takes you around the North side of the Lake and to our relief was in the shade most of the time. Three stops, one to turnaround at the 'end of the line' the other part way along the Lake the last at the Old Station this is for a good 20 minutes before setting of back to the start. Reasonable price. Good for the kids, young and Old!

We followed the signs to 'Llanberis Lake Railway', expecting that they'd take us to the 'Llanberis' station mentioned on their timetable. We arrived 10 minutes early and as we parked we saw the train leave. A member of staff told us we weren't at Llanberis but at Gilfach Ddu station. The name of this station is nowhere to be seen except on the platform - even the big sign on the station building mentions only Llanberis. The member of staff grunted and shrugged when told we weren't happy at having to wait over an hour for the next train due to poor signage. Thankfully a more understanding colleague overheard and was very kind. The journey was fine, if a little short, but the damage already done prevented us from whiting it as much as we might have done. Just remember that the signs for Llanberis don't take you to Llanberis.

We had a great time riding around the edge of the lake and because it was Easter clues/letters were hidden around the track which spelt out a sentence. Lots of Children were involved and when the train returned they all got a surprise chocolate Easter egg for finding the letters, which was a very nice and unexpected surprise.

Excellent and beautiful place. Services though not provided in the top well served in ground and properly informed. From the top the natural beauty is appreciated.

Ideal for a trip either solo or family. There are picnic areas a shop and cafe. Ask the Staff for the fascinating facts behind the railway and disused hospital. Well worth a visit.
