We are a support group of diverse women who are all passionate about sharing the amazing experience that is breastfeeding, through weekly meetings based around Llandrindod Wells and online we offer support to women to achieve their breastfeeding goals.
Llandrindod Wells Bib'S Baby And Toddler Feeding Support Group Description
Bron I'r Baben (Breast to Baby or BIB's) is a support group for breastfeeding women run by breastfeeding women. The group leaders are Powys trained Peer Support counsellors with many years of breastfeeding experience between them.
As well as online support, there is a weekly get-together (10am-12pm at Trefonnen School) where mums can meet with other mums and have a warm cuppa and a chat. All children are welcome and toys are available.
Regular Peer Support training is available for those who are interested in gaining the knowledge and confidence to counsel others in the art of breastfeeding.
A Peer Supporter can offer support and advice gained from training and experience, but this does not compare with a fully trained health professional. Any serious problems or concerns and we advise you to contact your midwife, health visitor or GP.
BIB's is run in partnership with Play Radnor, the Local Health Board and Flying Start.

Always a useful skill. Also learnt from a midwife recently that if you are going to/having to top up babies feeds with expressed breastmilk, if you can hand express on to a sterilised teaspoon and give baby 2 teaspoons full of your expressed milk every couple of hours that should be sufficient enough for a top up and always only give the top up after offering the breast first. Useful tips. X

Our bibs peers have been on an enrichment day at the metropole today. Hope you find this little video as fascinating as we did.
Usefull piece of equipment to purchase. A silicone pump which catches let down while feeding off the other breast. Can be purchased cheaply on ebay.
