Llanharan Miners Welfare Hall & Fields Description

The hall and associated playing fields were originally built from subscriptions form the miners of the village colliery and established on 5th July 1944.

When the mines were closed down, the grounds were locked by the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation until 1978 when title was passed to a Trust to the residents of Llanharan.

The Llanharan Recreation Ground Trust (LRGT) is a Registered Charity No: 524178
