My daughter was at this high school and it wasn't exactly friendly
On arrival to this catchment school where we lived on.the Thornhill estate I noticed that the school needed a paint job outside and flaky paint could be seen falling off the main building outside.
My daughter and myself were told to turn up at the school and I thought we. We're going to be shown around but I firmly believe there was an issue with a woman at the high school called Jackie Pearce
We were new to the area and would of liked to of been welcomed at llanishen.high school.
On the testing day for my daughter I said to Jackie "arn't you supposed to show us around" and her high pitched reply was "of course we do". On showing us around there was litter on.the floor and a physical education teacher walked by us said hello to Jackie with what looked like a burger in a con in his hand
Jackie was loudly saying that this is the best deaf school in Cardiff like she enjoyed the fact that children were deaf which shouldn't be something to be proud of
I had told her that can you put my daughter with some quiet children and she again loudly said to ,2 people in a sarcastic way "her mother has said she wants her to be with quiet children,"
After this incident I sat in a front room with Jackie Pearce and she pointed out the window facing the car park saying "that woman's child is going to be took off her" should she be telling me that? While I sat in this room a teenager walked in and said to her "I've done that for you Jackie and I got an eerie feeling that this woman was using the older teenagers to work for her"
My daughter told me that the following things about llanishen high school
1. There was no discipline at the school
2. The children were allowed to use mobile phones in the classrooms (I thought that was bad)
3. My daughter told me that because she was bottom in Welsh that they had kept her down in French and yet she was top.in french at her previous school
4. I looked in her school bag and noticed that every day she was having sandwiches and not a free hot school meal (I presume there was a problem with the hot meals at the school which needs looking at)
5. One day at dinner time I decided to investigate this school myself so I went onto the car park and noticed the children sitting on the front car park where cars were going in which was dangerous (I didn't stay too long because I had the feeling I was being watched by a man using s brush sweeping up at the front of the school)
6. That day I went into the village of llanishen on foot at dinner and I saw this
The children were using there dinner money for sweets and not school meals and at s corner cafe looking place a boy sat outside eating for dinner just chips and gravy which isn't very healthy if eaten every day
My daughter herself - well I know her very well and she will not eat food that looks horrible or dried up to give stomach upsets and I just presume that is what the school dinner food looked like (not edible) which is why she chose her safety zone which was sandwiches every day.

Another day I turned up at llanishen when we were waiting for s placement to accept her into this school if you can call it that
I was led to a small room and saw this
The chair I was given had all stains on it and the room was cluttered especially on the table and not organised at all
A woman in this room was talking on the phone saying "the mum is here like I was nothing but the mum and your a doll babe a doll will you send me them details and oh thanks"
Me and my daughter had no choice but to accept this school but we were more suited to a much better one more organised like Corpus Christi high school that we both liked but there was no places available - it was our1st choice school
On arrival at llanishen high school in the winter time December we noticed the car park well you were paddling in water graffiti was on a garage and blackberries/ weeds were up chain fencing and we hated the place
I would think twice putting your child here because there education and everything may be held back from Lisa.howe

It's a high school all of my children are going there, one thing I can say is keep on at the teachers if you want something done but other than that I think it's ok
