Most pitches appeared to be let for the season, but there were a few touring pitches. Quite narrow access roads so getting a big motorhome in would be a challenge. Very quiet, direct access to a huge beach (when the tides out). Unspoilt countryside, dunes, woodland and salt marsh all within walking distance. Shower block is old, but it works, it's clean and plenty of hot water.

Good holiday park close to the beach

This has the potential to be an amazing site – the location with proximity to the beach is pretty special, miles of golden sand on your doorstep plus a lovely pub in the village an easy 25 minute walk away.

It’s recently under new management and you can see that the new team are making improvements but it’s still a little iffy round the edges, my review is aimed to be constructive.

Showers and loos are dated but clean seem to have been freshly painted. In the ladies some of the cubical doors wouldn’t shut and there was a mystery room containing discarded sinks. There was no loo roll in the fixed dispensers but loose was provided, this will be hard to keep stocked when the site is busy. No hand drying facilities are provided – there was a paper towel dispenser but that was empty. Flooring in the block was very tired and needed replacing. The shower cubicles have low sides (about 5ft) so aren’t that private, water was just about warm enough but the flow in some cubicles was low. Fixed heads which were too high for most women also mean that you can’t rinse your cubicle after use. Suggest a few more hooks in each cubicle and a stool. Hot water in the sinks was far too hot. No plug for hair dryers and none provided. Showers and loos open 24/7 unlike in the past.

Disposal of rubbish was confusing, asked a seasonal pitch owner who told me either in the skip in the adjacent field or in the digger bucket near the farm buildings. The field which contained the aforementioned skip also contained a derelict caravan and there was a lot of rubbish scattered around, this needed a good tidy up. Most people now like to recycle so a designated area I think would be something to develop.

TV signal on site was good however mobile on EE was very intermittent – WIFI would have been an asset

2 sinks for washing up was adequate no charge for hot water (unlike in the past) but water in hot tap far too hot, almost scalding. No laundry facilities (well that I discovered).

Charge per night I think was a little high in relation to what was provided.

Walk to beach was marred by random piles of rubbish / piles of breeze blocks this all needed clearing.

Welcome and customer service from management team was excellent very friendly - really couldn’t have been better from booking, arrival to paying – they are really making the effort to dispel previous reputation.

We did enjoy our stay and hope with some snagging this site could reach it’s potential.

Wonderful break at Llanmadoc Caravan and Camping site. Peaceful and close to the amazing 5 mile stretch of beach. Lovely cafe on site open 5 days a week. Hot showers, a bit dated, but very clean and open all day for use. We will look forward to returning there next year.

Good location. Reasonable facilities although bit of a walk and could be better. Farmers field style grass. Good price and even when busy wasn't an issue.

Really friendly camp site, large enough that it is quiet and yet not too hard to keep out the way if you want to stay up a bit later! Practically on the beach. And a lovely cafe for a great, and cheap all day fry up!

The location alone gives this place 5 stars... right on the Gower beaches and absolutely stunning !! The facilities could do with updating however the toilets are clean and suitable for a camping holiday! We had a great time and will be looking at returning in the summer holidays... if the sunshine returns!!!
