Llanthony Priory Hotel

Beautiful surroundings and very welcoming staff. We only went in for a drink whilst visiting the area for its beautiful scenery.
We visited the priory ruins, and they are extremely picturesque. Well worth the drive up there.
Fantastic area for walks from those on the flat to the more serious like up to Offa's Dyke.
Am told that accommodation much improved over the past years but still retains most of original features ,the spiral staircase being a main feature to top of tower ,Rm5.,obviously no en suite but small price to pay for other benefits.
Food more than adequate after a day on the hills plus a good wine list
Out of the way location. Stunningly beautiful location. Quality, very friendly service. So much history.
Very characterful , stayed in tower which involves climbing a medieval narrow spiral staircase. Comfortable room with four poster bed. Wonderful location in beautiful valley. Stayed there whilst going to Hay Festival which involves going along a single track road through spectacular country.
Rustic cellar bar that hasn't changed much in 40 years. Great beer but didn't try the food.
Good location. Enjoyed
Very nice place, has a bar, pony trekking, lovely grounds, B&B only few hundred yards away.
Historical location with lots of beauty. Good walks to be had and camping a mere £3 a night although basic.
