Llyn Crafnant Lakeside Cafe & Fishing

Locally-sourced food of a good quality served by friendly staff in a sublime lakeside location. The café also hires out Canadian canoes at £10 per hour. One of Snowdonia's more charming lunch spots - recommended.

Lovely food freindly staff and beautiful countryside

I walk around this lake on regular basis, and have done so for the last 13 years. I'm not very good with Welsh words so have named the lake "cake lake". I love taking my dog Morgan to the lake he just loves to play in it. There is a very good focal point about 3/4 of the way around, the cafe. New people have recently taken over the cafe. They are maintaining the excellent variety of home made cakes and the bacon butties are just so delicious. Sadly for my waist line the cake and bacon butties are so moreish. The new owners are a truly wonderful family and mix with the customers readily. I am being tempted by the fish in the lake to not only take my dog but my rod as well but the biggest temptation is the food and the friendly personalities of the owner and family. To any one that enjoys a short walk about 3 miles around the lake it is one of my favorite walks.

A regular haunt for us as only 20 minutes from the coast. Not open during winter. Fantastic cakes and great sandwiches. Honest decent ingredients making honest decent food. Mugs of tea and coffee and if the weather is sunny then an amazing view up and down the lake is to be had.
