Here's a tribute to all those dads out there.
You guys are smashing it.
If you have a dad and don't quite know quite how to express your love for him in words, have a listen to this and maybe share it.. it's a beautiful song!

Hey,
Good morning everyone,
I hope this post finds you well, this beautiful sunday morning.
... I wanted to talk to you and tell you what's been going on behind the scenes since my last post on here.
I'm going to be very honest here.
I'd made some huge mistakes in not fulfilling customers orders because of overwhelm, whilst realising that I still wasn't dealing with my divorce very well, as well as the business not making enough money to cover my living expenses.
That's a lot of pressure right?
Well, I was close to breaking point.
I decided enough was enough. I felt that for my daughter's sake I had to put a stop to this and go get a job with a secure wage.
No sooner had I said that, I landed one that has me working full time, 4 days a week.
Awesome!
What was I going to do with the other 3?
As a self employed person I'd become used to "working" 7 days a week, not seeing my daughter for weeks on end. That's it, I'm going to make sure I see her once a week.
So, the other two were still left and my love of Loaf and Ladder was still there in my heart. My brain was saying no, heart saying yes. So I started thinking, "How can I use Loaf & Ladder whilst working full time, without going back to the overwhelm of running a bakery on my own?".
So I thought there are some very valuable lessons for other people to learn from Loaf & Ladder:
1) How to bake the bread I made.
2) How to setup a food business from home, market it and avoid the pit falls I fell down.
So, to fulfill these lessons I will be:
1) Setting up a small cookery academy, using prerecorded videos.
2) Setting up the small agency below, using my experiences to help them grow a happy, customer centric food business that has customers coming back to them like Loaf & Ladder had.
Anyway, I've rambled on enough for a Sunday morning, so please allow me to introduce you to BAKEY JAKE - the customer journey agency!

Hey guys, I'd like to make a public apology.
A few of you have been let down by myself and not recieved orders that you have placed with me.
The majority of these orders were taken in the lead up to Christmas, where if I'm honest, some mental health issues arose, coupled with the pressure of Christmas, lead to a state of overwhelm and anxiety attacks. I had never experienced this before and therefore didn't know what was happening to me.
... I take full responsibility for this and make no excuses.
I am currently working through a backlog of orders and refunds to get this resolved as quickly as possible.
Not being one to shy away from a problem and shirk my responsibilities, I felt it only appropriate to apologise to ALL of my customers as this is not the service you deserve.
In order to ensure that I only give the best service, I will be offering my bread on a collection basis only, to any new clients.
I hope you can forgive me for my mistakes,
Kind regards
Jacob Anthony Owner of Loaf & Ladder.

See this?
This is me doing what I love most.
Doing what I was put on this planet to do.
... When I bake, myself and the dough become one. I listen to soul music, which goes in through my ears, into my mind, down into my heart, out through my hands and into my bread.
There are many loaves in this world, but none will be quite the same as mine.
Why not try one?

Our village of Clydach Vale has quite a rich history of producing bakeries, even George Brace of Brace's Bread fame worked at the Cambrian Colliery.
But, can you guess where in our beautiful village, this is?

User

Hey guys!
Since my gas leak yesterday, I've not been able to bake. It's fixed now, so I'm offering the opportunity for you guys to have a freshly baked loaf tomorrow.

This one is a Spinach, Caramelised Onion and Feta, Filo Pie.
... The other one I've been working on is a vegan Balsamic Caramelised Onion, Spinach and Garlic Filo Pie.
