Fantastic food in a relaxed and friendly setting - the range of food that caters to vegetarian, vegan and coeliac diets is impressive and delicious (which says something coming from a die-hard carnivore!). Would thoroughly recommend a visit!

Ideally you'll want to arrive via Deiniolen rather than coming up the single track from the top of the lake, but when you arrive there is a warm, dry, welcoming building with great views of the lake. Accommodation is in a single mixed dorm but with pod like beds with curtains helping you have some privacy. Beds are shorter than 6'4" but warm and comfy enough. There are mixed toilets with 3 decent showers with hot water. Places to dry clothes, great breakfast that I got for free and a cafe with cakes I sadly didn't try. Compared to other hostels this could be the pinnacle.

A great cafe short walking distance from our holiday home in Fachwen. Good selection of sandwiches and salads for lunch. A few cakes on sale, mainly flapjacks and cup cake. Beautiful scenery. Inside a converted chapel.

Great coffee and lunch menu, sweet potato fries to die for! Various Burritos, home made Burgers, sandwiches etc and soups/specials available. Coffee very good. Beautiful setting in an old church and amazing views across the valley to Snowdon/Llanberis.

The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Food was so good that we are going back tomorrow.

Great food, fine coffee. Needs a licence though! Accommodation looks good and I would certainly use it.

Outstanding views from the old school house. Can recommend the breakfast.

Lovely cosy beds, great breakfast, both vegetarian and meaty! Wonderful to return to after exploring the area and have an excuse to tuck into the coffee and cakes. The staff are well experienced and friendly, we felt so welcome for the whole stay.
