Lonewolf Campsite / Glyn-Y-Mul Farm

Stayed here recently and really enjoyed myself. All the benefits of a campsite with the feel of wildcamping. Nothing beats sitting by the campfire.

One downside, which i can't blame on the campsite; I stored my beers in the river, the rain came, the river rose and washed them all away - D'oh!

A fantastic place to camp, secluded and surrounded by nature, there is a choice to camp by the lake or if you prefer then more inland on the banks. I have been many times to Ian's camp site and each time I have enjoyed it, Ian is very helpful and will recommend this site to all my friends. If you are after a place to party then this is not the place, its tranqual and a place to really let nature show its self, if you watch the lake closley at dusk you can spot the bats catching flies over the river. A superb place to really unwind and destress yourself from city life. A*

The idea of the place is a standard campsite but with "bush camping" also. It's a lovely destination near to a lovely river. The only thing that spoiled my stay was the obnoxious owner who went out of his way to be awkward. Therefore, the one star. Good facility in principle, but shame about the owner.

Stayed at camp site, we had not booked anything, we found the campsite last minute.
We were met by the owner Ian, who was friendly and very accommodating. The camp site has several different pitch sites.
Good and clean facilities with cheap rates.
Will definitely visit again.

Great place to start wild camping, if you are wary or unsure about doing it this place will set your mind at ease.lovely woodland and river. Ian the land owner is a really great guy and makes you feel welcome with the freedom to experience wild camping legally, fires ect. Well worth the visit

Loved this place. It's really back to basics. If your looking for a place to light a fire, be left alone in the woods, this is for you. Will definitely return.

Weekend camping at Lone Wolf was absolutely wonderful, lovely campsite, got all the basics you need and the most beautiful surroundings. We very much enjoyed exploring the woods and down by the river. A very relaxing weekend and will definitely be going back. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, bending over backwards to ensure you have a lovely stay. Would recommend to those wanting to get back to nature and crave some peace and tranquility.

I stayed down by the river in the woods and had a great time.
Secluded, left to my own devices but Ian was always at the end of a phone if needed.
Beautiful location, just bear in mind it is off grid with very limited facilities.
For me it is exactly what I was looking for, far and few between these days.
I will be making regular visits!

Great campsite with some fantastic camping down near the river. Basic facilities but a beautiful area where you can get away from it all.
