went there today for the first time,, service and food were first class



we felt very relaxed and totally enjoyed the experience... will be going back soon

Went today 14th March as a group of 8. We ate from the 2 course lunch menu. Great selection, well cooked food and great value for money. Excellent service from pleasant, helpful staff. Can't wait to go again.

Went there last night before a show in grand theatre .we hadnt booked but were given a table .it was thursday and very quiet . We chose from the set lunch menu and were not expecting great portions .the meal was stunning .great value for money .2 courses for 9.95 .. i had garlic mushrooms to start .a really good portion of mushrooms with lovely flavours.hubby had soup which was equally delicious .only thing was we did have to ask for bread rolls .. none came with the soup and the two in my opinion go together ..i had salmon which was the best tasting salmon ive ever had and hubby had the hake which again was of a good size and very tasty .. meals came with saute potatoes and peas .. really great value and tasty food would highly reccomend .

Went there a table of 10 for my nan's 90th birthday. I had the lobster special starter and it didn't disappoint ! We all had a fabulous meal with no complaints. looking forward to next visit.

Treated my mum to an early mother's day lunch. Really glad I chose Madeira. Amazing food and really friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend. Thank you

Never ever had a moody meal here, we go two or three times a year, for several years, the same can be said of their restaurant in Cardiff.

My partner and i had an amazing dinner thanks to some fantastic dishes and stellar service.

It all started by a very warm welcome by the waitress who proceeded in providing us recommendations. The food was amazing, in particular the starters, totally loved the spaghetti D’Alho.

As a main course we had some cataplana to share, it was a huge serving full of flavours.

Lovely decor, prompt service and I can highly recommend the two course £9.95 lunch. Don't forget to order your side portion of cauliflower in batter as this is not included. Book to avoid disappointment. I can also recommend the sister restaurant in Cardiff.

Just got home after a delicious meal at Madeira, everything was excellent the flavours in the food were so tasty. All the staff were very friendly but we must give a special mention to our waiter Diego nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely return ☺☺☺

Had a lovely meal with family & friends on Easter Monday. Everyone loved their food & they went out of their way making sure my meal was vegan. Great service & food. Obrigado!

First time for us at the Madeira. Very impressed with the food. We had lunchtime menu for £9.95 the portions weren't skimpy! Sardines to start were large and tasted amazing then Salmon, it was cooked perfectly and served with a delicious tarragon sauce. My husband had steak he highly recommends it. We had the red house wine, also very good. Despite being crazily busy there the Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Definitely would recommend and will be visiting again this weekend.

Fantastic restaurant manage to fit us in even though we hadn’t booked and was very busy. Food is beautiful and great value for money, would highly recommend and is a little gem in the city � also great customer service all staff are extremely helpful and dealt with my queries efficiently and many thanks to Sonia xxx

Fantastic food fantastic atmosphere fantastic staff. The muscles in tomato sauce to start were incredible - probably the best I’ve ever had and thoroughly devoured by my 9 year old son. All of our meals were beautifully cooked and nothing was too much trouble for our lovely waiting staff. We will definitely return

Excellent lunch with family. From eldest (52) to youngest (11) the menu suited everyone. Loverly friendly attitude from the staff. We live the Madeira in Cardiff, and now have another great restaurant to add to our favourites.

Excellent food, wine and a very friendly team. It is definitely worth at least one visit but you will return ����
