Magpie & Stump Bar & Restaurant

Went here on sunday, had the carvery as did all of us and it was really nice, the meat was on point and the veg and potatoes (boil and roasted) were straming hot. We also had desert and that even better, the staff were friendly and helpful and overall the magpie and stump really did it for me, would definatly recommend, oh i also forgot to mention the price, very cheap, and very good quality.

Went in Tuesday tea time for a meal with family it was fantastic the steak was cooked lovely all the staff were really friendly had a bit of a giggle with locals as an ex landlady its always nice to see a pub with a great atmosphere and hopefully doing well.x.Thank you for a great family meal.x.Will definitely return.x.

I visited this place for the carvery, food was plentiful and good for the money.
The service was absolutely shocking, as soon as they started to close up the carvery all that the staff appeared to be bothered with is getting out as soon as possible. I was sat waiting for our plates to be cleared and the desserts order to be taken, the staff where cleaning empty tables and setting up for the day after whilst we waited just to clear our table and to simply order desserts. The only communication we had about desserts was when my daughter said she wanted a particular dessert and the member of staff turned to us and said that they where out of this particular product and carried on cleaning the empty table behind us. Most places would say I'm sorry we have sold out but we could recommend another product.

Love it. We live local and although it's near to caravan sites etc we have always enjoyed ourselves, the atmosphere and the staff are friendly and welcoming
