My mum taught me how to bake cakes, I always loved the weighing, pouring, stirring and the most important bit. . . the eating! My son's first birthday I forgot about the cake, it was a last minute dash to tesco to buy a plain iced cake and I quickly fashioned a digger out of yellow and black fondant. People commented how good the digger was and I knew I could do better than that so my son's cakes got more elaborate over the years. Family have asked for cakes and now I'm finding strangers are too!

For anyone that doesn't already know.....I became Mrs Prince last Saturday! This was our cake, just a chocolate delight! Served with cream. On a sad note I will be deleting this page, I will go through and find my fav pics of cakes that I've slaved over before they are lost forever. Many thanks for staying with me through the years....on to new things 🤗

A very heartfelt thank you to everyone that has had a cake from me, or several! I began this cake journey 5 years ago to escape from postnatal depression after my daughter and I can honestly say it's what kept me sane. I love making someone smile with a cake. However with my children growing way too fast, my sculpture degree, work and getting married very soon I just don't have the time or patience to commit to cakes anymore. I won't be ditching the tools completely, friends... and family will always get cakes. I'm more than happy to share cake skills, I think making your own cake is so rewarding, no matter how crap you think it may be, it's all about the thought and love that went into it so any thoughts or tips I can give then give me a message!!!!

This sums up the month of May where I cannot take on any birthday cakes as I have wonderful wedding cakes to concentrate on. (Along with degree deadlines 🙈 eeek!) this also applies to the first week in June and the first week in July! And......the whole of August is a no go for cakes as it's my turn to get married!!!!!!
