Maplin

When you enter a shop the assistant askes "do you need help?" you answer "no thanks" then he ambushes you 3 minutes later it ruins the experience. I don't get to Maplins very often and when I do I like a just browse to see what stuff I haven't got. Chris the over enthusiastic assistant needs to work out when someone says "just browsing" it means leave me alone. Some people might be glad of the interaction and advice, however I just wanted to look around and not be told your stories that are supposed to encourage me to buy something.

I understand sales personnel trying to get a sale but 4 members asking if you need help within 2 mins of entering is too much. Comes across somewhat intense.

Maplins has quite often everything you need in terms of electrics and PCs but the reason for 4stars is quite often it comes at a hefty premium for being local and nearly, if not everything can be found online for cheaper. But the staff are nice, decent parking, easier to swap faulty goods immediately, but unfortunately in the current climate, it's cheaper online.

Almost every component you need in stock staff really friendly and helpful lots of "boys toys" and gadgets too

Great shop and brilliant staff and prices

Staff didn't really have a clue how to help me, I went in with a simple problem, asked for some help as to what item to buy to solve the problem and was told that there was nothing I could by to fix it when clearly there was because with the help of Google I have now fixed it. If the guy didn't know or didn't want to help me he should have just said.

Great range of products. Had what I wanted at a good price; very helpful staff

Still a good shop, to find some gadgets and electronics. Good parking option. But, they have now rather higher prices compared to internet online shops.
