Hypnotherapy has been in use for thousands of years and its use was recorded in ancient times where "sleep temples" were used. It is sometimes referred to as an "alternative therapy" by some doctors and other professionals yet it has been around for much longer than western medicine, which has only existed for just over a century. Used correctly it can assist western medical treatments and is recognised by the NHS and NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence).

Hypnosis provided by a therapist is not the same as stage entertainment and control is never lost nor handed over to the hypnotist. It is perfectly safe and incredibly effective in dealing with a huge array of conditions.

When choosing a hypnotherapist please ensure that they are fully qualified, insured and registered with a professional body to ensure you are getting value for money from a competent professional with your best interests in mind.
