Marine Power Systems Description
The company was founded in 2008 by Dr Gareth Stockman and Dr Graham Foster to develop and bring to market the WaveSub wave energy converter.
The WaveSub, designed and built in Wales, has the potential to substantially reduce the costs of energy generation from waves.
Funded by a mix of public and private sector investment, MPS has completed two Phases of the development of the technology and is currently undertaking Phase three: the design, build and testing of a quarter scale prototype.
From Summer 2017, Marine Power Systems is giving investors an opportunity to invest in the development of their full scale multi-megawatt system which will be deployed for testing in 2018 /19.
This is a crucial step to developing their first commercial wave farm.
