A Family run Welsh Fudge business that uses a traditional recipe to bring you some of the best home-made fudge flavours

Matt and Ben’s proper fudge was started by Matthew Robertson when he left Bristol University in 2008. Wishing to be a World Banker just at the time banking was going through a rough patch he could not find a job initially. At Christmas 2008 his mother was making some old recipe fudge for friends and family and Ben would always ask if there was some left in the pot. Matthew suggested that she started selling it, as it was so good. She rejoined that it would be a good project for him whilst waiting for the perfect job. Matthew sourced the ingredients, labelling and kitchen inspections, approached two local retailers and was off and running, in February 2009.

In the autumn of that same year he went on a 6 month unpaid internship at the House of Commons and from there was accepted to train as a Chartered Accountant in London. His Father, now the sole proprietor, had been made redundant, and took up the reins and additional products were added and seasonal varieties and new labelling introduced.

Matt and Ben both now live and work in London but all the product is totally hand made, in a unit in Pwllheli, the market town of the beautiful Lleyn peninsula in North West Wales. It is made to a traditional Welsh recipe. We hope you enjoy the fudge as much as we enjoy making it.
