After 10 years of a Picturedrome ticket remaining at £2.50, we have unfortunately had to increase our prices. This follows the introduction of a minimum hire charge per ticket, applied by main film distribution companies, which we can no longer absorb as a business at the price of £2.50.
We will continue to provide value priced cinema for our guests, with high standards of service. We hope you understand as loyal customers, this decision was not taken lightly, and your support throughout for Picturedrome cinemas, your independent high street chain, is always most appreciated.

i was out in blackwood today with my mum and needed to find a disabled toilets has my mum is ill and i needed to change her storma bag your staff let us use your disabled toilet even though we wasnt customers i would just like to thank them has many places wont unless your a paying customer x

Very rare I have a bad experience at this cinema. Staff are always very friendly, and any problem you may have gets sorted with little fuss. Only times I have had problems have been with audience, but that's not the fault of the cinema. Fantastic prices and great movies. I shall be visiting again soon.

Very cheap, seating lovely and comfy, all snacks available to buy. Me and my little girl really enjoyed it :) easy to book online. Choosing my own seating before I got there. I Will always go there from now on. I wish they had a car park but there is one at the back of the cinema for 80p (2 hours stay) can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

Only ever use Maxime cinema.Not only is it a great price,the cinema is always kept clean and tidy.

The staff are also,always polite and friendly.Highly recommend this cinema.

Love this cinema! not only can you buy 2 tickets with all the trimmings and it be cheaper than the cost of tickets elsewhere... BUT they sell my favorite drink REKORDALIG wild berries <3

Love this cinema! Such an affordable family trip out and knowing you are guaranteed your booked seats is so much better than other cinemas. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Now we've discovered Maxime we wouldn't go anywhere else!

Love this cinema and use it a lot. However, today saw Peter Rabbit with my 3 kids and we loved it. Each of us glued to the screen and didn't move throgjout but the audience spoilt it � definately too much noise and disruption and kids left to scream and roll around on the floor in front of the screen.......even adults were talking loud and being a nuisance � expect some noise with kids films but today was unfortunately unbearable. Hopefully be quieter next time

I've been to the Maxime Cinema load's of times and each time its been amazing, the staff are polite and friendly. The cinema is a lovely place to go and will continue to go with friends and family all the time. Keep up the good work.

I won't go to any other cinema now. Not only are the prices low, the place is always clean and tidy! One thing that always baffles me though is, I book online and see the front row ( where i like to sit) is full, so I choose other seats....but then when there and the film starts, not one front seat gets taken � like last night at 50 shades freed for example and its not the first time its happened.

I take my 2 grandson to the Maxime Cinema in Blackwood for a monthly treat after school mostly on a Friday.

Price is great, place clean and tidy and staff always polite and friendly.

Well done on a fab job.

Great place and really accommodating, I got the time of the film wrong and they transferred the tickets to the later showing for me, really helpful.

Excellent value for money best cinema around by far would defo recommend to go staff all friendly and helpful

Cinema was great, nice and clean and the staff were very welcoming. Shame there was a group of kids up and down during the movie but to be fair the staff handled them very professionally without interupting the film!! Would deffo go back again!!

Nice little cheap cosy cinema, however the que was long so didn't enjoy standing outside in the freezing cold, I think if they had self scan & a car park everyone who visits would be more happy. I had a walk quite far to get there.

Myself and three friends visit regular. Such good value for money. Seats roomy and comfy enough. Only downside this visit was that the bar was closed. We met up earlier to have a glass of wine and a chat before the film started. We did however get our refreshments from The Wetherspoons. We will be back again in a couple of weeks.

Love the cinema for its value for money, friendly staff and fab films but my only criticism is there are no lifts to screens 1 and 2 so I have to struggle to climb the stairs which can be hard work.

Great little cinema and great value for money, one thing that could be improved on though is the temperature, we were there yesterday to see Darkest Hour and were cold as air conditioning seemed to be on! I had to watch film with my coat on! But still a great cinema, can't recommend it enough

Went to watch peter rabbit Friday with 3 children,people at side of us let there children go over barrier run up and down in front of screen jump up and down on barrier then another little girl joined in throwing hair clips up in air stood in front of screen. I understand that it wouldn’t be silence in there being pg but not once did a member of staff come in to check brilliant film but ruined due to this never had a problem before and will return hopefully won’t be as bad .

Not been here for a while but sorry to say I was really disappointed tonight. Ok I know it’s super cheap but not quite sure what’s going on atm? �



It was really dirty, carpets were strewn with bits of rubbish and food. Bar area was closed. The ladies loos were omg � and were caked in old urine, hair and dust. The hand driers smelled like Spanish drains when set off?!



I will go back but just hope it’s not what’s the norm and usual now it’s a few years old.
