Love it here! Much cheaper than other cinema, always clean and tidy. Rest rooms very clean! Helpful staff and comfy seats!

Beautifully restored building, nice bar for a pre-film drink, very comfortable seats in the cinema. Young, friendly, staff team. Ticket prices extremely good value.

Great cinema with cheap prices and friendly staff. My only complaint is the fact the 3d glasses were dirty and poorly made. Other than that, well worth a visit.

Best and cheapest cinema around, loads of great films on show with friendly staff. The place is always clean and well kept. When Maxime open it was and still is a gem in the community.

A fantastic local independent cinema. Ticket prices are unbelievably cheap compared to everywhere else, and the staff are very friendly. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Maxime cinema is a very inexpensive evening with all the regular services you would find at a large chain cinema without the huge prices. I would however recommend a viewing in cinema 1 for that extra nostalgic feel. Entering cinema 1 is like stepping back in time. Wonderful!!!

An independent old style cinema refurbished in a light art deco style. The screens themselves continue the theme and hark back to a time when cinemas had the character of the theatres they were replacing having high ceilings and a curtain that wouldn't look out of place in a westend theatre. The seats are a step up from the standard multiplex fare with plush padding and a faux leather material and half decent leg room. You'll need to book for the newer more popular films and it's allocated seating only which depending on your view could be a good thing. A major selling point is that prices are nearly half that of some of the main cinema chains, for example a family ticket in Showcase is £25 compared to £15 here. The only negative I could level is that you cannot print your tickets for your online booking ahead of time. They won't accept the confirmation screen or email (both which confirm the booking and seat numbers) so you are required to go to tills to get the tickets, which is also the line for snacks. You'll need to turn up ahead of time regardless of the fact you already have your seat booked and paid for, which seems an unnecessary frustration in an otherwise excellent experience.

£2.50 a person is a really fair price compared to a tenner at Odeon. It's small in the screens but that only serves to add to the cinema magic, seats are really comfy and food is reasonably priced. Used to live local but now drive over 30mins out of my way to go here.
