About usMaypole is a UK charity run by women and professionals who understand the stresses separation entails, and the lack of support and voice for women. Our vision: Is a world where all women are empowered and free to make choices in their personal life, and to seek the optimal environment in which to care for their children. Our purpose: Maypole works to enable women to preserve, or gain when it is lacking, psychological and financial well being, and live free from coercive control and entrapment in personal life, through the process of separation and divorce, thus also enabling them to meet the needs of their children effectively at all times. Our mission: We do this by providing specialist and dedicated information and services, and campaigning for safe and fair family law. Our values: We value integrity, respect, autonomy, courage, and secure and healthy emotional attachments. In all that we do we strive to be inclusive, non judgemental, responsive and accountable. Our aims: * to promote and protect the good health, and to relieve distress and financial hardship, of women and their families before, during and after separation and divorce * to promote research into the issues affecting women and children during and after separation and divorce, and disseminate the useful results of such research * to relieve distress, and promote and protect the good health of children during and after separation and divorce of their parents
