Staff were lovely didn't wait too long for food and it was hot. My only disappointment was it stated Sunday lunch but for some reason there wasn't any and there was no cappucinno as machine was broken but that's unfortunate no ones fault there. Service was great

Way too long to get served food in end up after 1hour and 20 mins asked for money back and left. Pity cause I like the place but come on employ some staff

Need more staff on a Friday, queue was nearly out the door and only one staff on bar,had to wait about 25 minutes to order food and food took a while to come because there’s only one waiter serving everyone their foods,plus my order was completely wrong to what I originally ordered�

Management need a big kick up the bum. Between the miserable staff who make you feel like they are doing you a favour, to the dirty sticky tables and then the ridiculous long waits for not even edible food. Such a shame can be a really good pub! Never write reviews but just felt like I had to with this place...

I booked for 25 people this evening to celebrate a 30th birthday party, the waitress service was amazing, but very unhappy with the barman Keith on the way he lacks customer service, he is very unprofessional and spoke rudely to two members of my family that I know of, I feel that he should not be at front of house with that sort of manner, I have booked on numerous occasions for family celebrations and have never had any problems with any of your other members of staff who has amazing customer care.

Went yesterday to this place for my granddaughters 19th birthday treat. What a mistake.

There were 3 adults, 1 adolescent and a baby in our party. Admitted, it was fairly busy there - but by no means full. The service was absolutely dreadful and apart from one young server( sorry didn’t get her name) didn’t receive one smile or friendly vibe.

The food took ages to be served and then was very poor.EVERYTHING over cooked but somehow lukewarm.

I did go back up to order a desert for my grandson, was given the wrong change (albeit only a penny) and when I pointed this out was met by frostiness and no verbal reply of any description never mind an apology.

Then ,as the desert hadn’t appeared for ages my daughter asked a member of staff if he could check where it was for us ....he said okay but carried on clearing tables and then started a conversation with someone he appeared to know!

He never did go to check and the desert was eventually brought.

I felt it would do no good to say anything at the time to the staff following the earlier attitude at the bar but I can assure you I will tell all friends and family about the experience...

The only reason I gave a star at all was because I enjoyed the company of my family - on a nice large table with plenty of room.

Well we chose this place for my birthday, the meals that came were wrong, missing stuff we had paid extra for or cold. We waited 40 minutes for three kids ice creams and my wife had bought a birthday cake that she gave to the waitress to bring out later. After asking three or four times, to be told they forgot and couldn't find it, then found it in the back of the fridge and still didn't bring it, so she went and grabbed it herself. Customer service was shocking, I understand that guy wasn't meant to be there but still crack a smile. Was just appalling. Then the table next to us had an accident involving a child, that was not sorted to the right regulations or with care and consideration. I was so shocked! Then to be outside with the children with our party to hear the people upstairs to be yelling swear words and about getting high! Not what we wanted to hear at family restaurant! Will not be returning and will be telling others not to aswell. Sort it out.

Today we visited the heron marsh for the football I ordered 4 Diet Cokes one of which was for my partner who is a type one diabetic! She started feeling funny after some of her drink, so checked her blood sugars and the monitor couldn’t even read them they was that high! When I spoke to the woman at the bar about it her attitude was “well haven’t she got her injection? “ so if any diabetics are planning to visit here make sure you get the correct drink as my parter could of ended up in hospital seriously ill or in a coma! This happened because the Diet Coke pump is hooked up to Coca Cola full sugar!!

Today after i ordered my food, my son fell and cut his head on the gambler machine, when he got up he was floppy and giddy aswell as having a gash in his head. I sat him on the bar and asked the member of staff for something to clean his head up, to which they passed me a dry peice of tissue and carried on serving. I then went and got another member of staff and asked for some wipes from the first aid box, when he brought the first aid box out it only contained bandages!

We hadnt ate our food and they didnt want to give our money back, we just wanted to get home to get him sorted.

Their first aid box should have had many other items in there other than bandages and the staff were useless, and to think this is a family friendly pub, where children play daily (wacky warehouse) and could injure their self at any time is discusting and the staff clearly need training too!

The barmaid was rude waited at the bar for 15 min others got served before me so moved to other side of the bar waited again, people walked in from outside went straight to bar she finished serving and moved over to other bar to serve them 25 min wasted waiting to order food 😡 me and friends ended up going to monkstone Inn food and staff was lovely

Service was absolutely disgusting! Nick the barman was absolutely miserable and very rude! We was out for a family meal, 10 of us in total including the children, our food arrived separate so we couldnt eat together. When my burger arrived it was black I had a few bites but couldn't bite into the rest as it was that burnt! I wanted a refund as the food was not edible i ate my chips because I was starving after waiting over an hour for my food. When I approach nick to complain about the burger he was absolutely horrible! He said the burger is flame grilled and ask me 'what do I want him to do about it?' I also told him that the service he provided us was terrible! he said with lots of attitude 'its been bizzy' then he smirked at me!! I work with customers everyday, dealing with complaints all the time, I would never speak or treat a customer like that no matter how bizzy we are! Suck it up nick and if you can't work well under pressure find a job somewhere else don't take it out on the customers. The lady who brought the food out was lovely! I didn't catch her name but maybe she could teach nick a few things in customer service! I've been to the heron mash since I was a young girl but I will never set a foot in there ever again!

Service has been terrible, waited 45minuted to be told they didn't have what we ordered then an additional 30minutes for food to arrive bot once told there was await on food. Claire the manager even responded to my friend when she advised the others have nearly finished there food she turned around and said "but you haven't though." When complaining the manager didn't seem bothered blamed her staff and never offered a thing. I will be putting a formal complaint is as we go regularly and will be avoiding at all costs now.

Not sure where to start from the second we walked in there was no menus and all the tables were sticky clearly hadn’t been cleaned (granted the extra foot traffic due to the weather but was far from packed to the rafters!). Then proceeded by a rather mediocre bar service without a smile or even a hello from the gentleman I assume was a supervisor or manager, then proceed by a 40 minute wait on food again understandable but not that busy. both orders were one after another but came out about 20 minutes apart, wasn’t given any cutlery too about 10/15 minutes after the the first part of the order came, also given a dirty glass with lipstick, food was mediocre at best and also had to return part of the order that came late as well due to it being wrong. All in all not a great experience!

Book to have my daughters first birthday here originally went there before to test it out and coffee machine was not working so no hot drinks and half of the menu was not available despite that I still decided to book to give them the benefit of the doubt to sort out before her birthdaY was told to book online table was but then got a email receiving it wasn't so I phoned up again to book it on the phone that was all sorted then when myself and 12 guest arrived I was told there wasn't a table booked in my name and they couldn't accommodate me I then asked to see the diary as I knew it was booked as Manager wrote it down I then find my booking was Wroten down in a different name was told by one member of staff that they could cut my daughters cake then went and bought it to the bar was told that the chef would not stop cooking to cut the cake so passed me a steak knife. Then had to wait half an hour in the queue to order Food and another half an hour to wait for my food to be ready. And again the coffee machine had still not been fixed when it has been well over a month. Only best part was The play creshe but even then it closed and hour earlier.

Been a few times before and never had any problems. But yesterday was a different story. As soon as we walked in you could hear people complaining about food, I thought this was maybe a simple mistake and wasn’t put off by it. Turns out this was coming quite consistent, maybe there has been a changeover of staff/management I don’t know.

When our food arrived it was lukewarm as if it had been left for ages, we didn’t make much of a fuss as it was still edible, but would have been nice if the food was hot. However we did order a portion of corn dogs as a side which arrived about 10 minutes later, with the menu stating corn dogs you’d think that would be more than ONE cocktail sausage size corndog which was rock hard and inedible. I took this to the bar and asked for a replacement ‘corndog’. We had already finished our lukewarm mains before the replacement came. This corndog “portion” however was frozen on the inside. I then went back to the bar and complained. The staff didn’t really seem to care and just refunded the £2.50 for a cocktail sausage in batter.

I think it’s safe to say I will not be returning with family and friends in the near future. This is a shame as in previous visits the service has been lovely.

Absolutely the worst place I have ever eaten !!! Waited an hour for food:kids pizza had no cheese on and was rock hard,ribs were stone cold ,one steak over done and rock hard and the other chewy and cold. Garlic bread was rock hard and couldn't be cut!!!! Left most of the food uneaten and Walked out.would have complained if I could find a member of staff.Even the miserable man taking our order tried to persuade us to go elsewhere wish we had listened to him .zero stars is too generous.

Absolutely disgusting place... came here for my sons 7th birthday we don’t go out often... here’s what I had:,,, chips out of the plates, seats all ripped, tables terrible wonky and paint missing, food was cold coming out but somehow burnt ��. Chicken fillets were just like processed crap, service off so called waiters was terrible. The place needs shutting down and refurbed and staff need correct training... will never go there again and would STRONGLY ADVISE!!!!!! NO1 to go there ����
