Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in Incredibles 2!
This time Helen (aka Elastic Girlr) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (Mr. Incredible) at home with Violet and Dash to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. It's a tough transition for every one, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers.
When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work... together again – which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible!

The first feature movie from Japanese animation studio Studio Ponos and based on the best-selling British children’s book ‘The Little Broomstick’ by Mary Stewart.
While spending the last weeks of summer with her Great-Aunt Charlotte in the countryside, Mary follows a mysterious cat into the nearby woods. There she stumbles upon a flower that has magical powers and transforms a little broomstick into one that flies. Mary is whisked away, high above the clouds, and transported... to Endor College – a school of magic!
Mary is warmly welcomed by headmistress Madam Mumblechook and the brilliant Doctor Dee. Believing her to be a “once-in-a-century” magical talent, they give Mary a guided tour of the dazzling school and invite her to join. But Mary discovers that all is not as it seems in this fantastical world, and soon must confront great danger and call on her courage if she is to save the day.

What a lovely building to visit yesterday at the LGBT event to staff made us so welcome thank you

User

Went to see Addams Family , absolutely fantastic all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed it well done all , and another fantastic show down the memo

User

Went last night to see "The shining " on Halloween. Seen it on TV a few times but in The Memo on a big screen it was spectacular. The lady behind the bar was very helpful, you can take your alcoholic drinks in to watch the film and everything was friendly as could be. To anyone who bemoans the "need

" for a cinema in Barry I can only say you have one, use it. Much better and far cheaper than an impersonal Odeon multiplex. I now live in Bridgend, but I will be back for more at the Memo.

User

Watched the little mix experience here last night with my daughter. She loved it and I so did I. Would definitely return for another event🖒

User

Took my friend and neighbour who is 95 to see the film “Mercy”

Couldn’t have asked for better service from the staff who did their utmost to ensure his comfort and enjoyment of viewing.

Even helped him out to the car at the end of the evening.

Highly recommend it

The Memo Arts Centre is a fantastic place, full of heritage, a Remembrance tribute to Barry's fallen from the First & Second World Wars and Falklands. A place that Barrians are deservedly proud of. The Memo is currently undergoing an amazing transformation: the Cenotaph is being restored, a new flat roof installed (inside and outside Bedwas Hall), a larger disabled viewing area, a new digital "live" streaming system comprising 24 surround sound speakers showing West End productions as they happen and CineMemo movies, and some exciting new developments in the pipeline. People can show their passion and be a part of this transformation and get involved - become a "Friend of the Memo". Sign up and get latest news & official information. I love the place so much... I became a Trustee!

Went to watch The Magic of Motown last night with my daughter, really enjoyed the show!! Was also surprised at how big the Memo Arts Centre was!! It was easy to find so i think we will be back soon!

User

Very good, but it seemed one microphone was a bit out.

Motown Magic on Friday 16 March - show was great and enjoyed night with friends. Didn't like the volume especially first half - guitars were far too loud and struggled to hear singers properly. Seated upstairs in row c - hardly any leg room and had to move seats during interval. Group were excellent - would be great on the Christmas party nights.

User

Lovely time watching the Royal Ballet’s live stream & even though it was a little chilly, the friendly, helpful staff provide a fleece blanket for just such occasions!!

User

Great live screenings of ballet ,Opera and theatre. Easy parking and relaxed friendly staff. Far easier to get to for us living in Llancarfan than dragging to Bridgend or Cardiff, often cheaper and excellent loyalty points.

Its a pity that more people don’t support these screenings as we would hate to lose them.

Only downside are the rather uncomfortable seats upstairs with very little leg room, particularly for my husband who is 6 ft.

User

Scoring in the middle as i've never been to see a film here. Saying that, i always forget they show films and don't see much advertising which is probably why. A good push on advertising is needed as barry desperately needs a cinema again. Make it work guys and maybe you might get some more funding to show more films or even a purpose but cinema might get the go ahead.

User

My main issue with the venue is that there is still no access to the stage for wheelchair users several years after we were told they'd applied for grants to rectify this. Access to the auditorium is via a small lift opening into a sometimes crowded foyer, but it's accessible. Groups of performers who include wheelchair users have to perform on the floor in front of the stage where many of the audience can't see them.

I appreciate that a ramp won't work, but a wheelchair lift could!
