Menai Heritage

We are a community project to celebrate our two world famous bridges, the Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge.

Menai Heritage is a community project exploring the history of the world-famous bridges spanning the Menai Strait as well as the local area. Our exhibition and collection of artefacts, housed in a restored church hall (the Thomas Telford Centre, across from Waitrose in Menai Bridge), has been fully accredited as a museum. We have also recently restored a Victorian warehouse (Prince's Pier) on the waterfront, which will be the future permanent home of our museum. The current hall will continue in its additional function as an active centre for community activities and group and school workshops.
