Went with my son and hubby for Cardiff university open day. Spent evening on Cardiff bay. Amazing place to relax. Watched FIFA world cup on big screen with amazing crowd on the bay. Lot of restaurants and lovely food stalls.

We came up from crawley to visit the doctor who experience (really enjoyable btw, shame its closing) we had several hours to kill before heading back home and we decided to pay a visit as we've never been before. We had a fantastic boat ride courtesy of Cardiff bay tours and we pottered about the many shops and restaurants that were there. Being a fan of torchwood I was surprised to see a shrine to ianto, how cool was that? Please keep it

Watched the England Game today at mermaid quay... what a great idea having a big screen in the sunshine! It was fab and such a friendly atmosphere. Well organised

Nice location to walk about - lots of restaurants &always something going on. Weekends are fun filled

User

Lovely day down the bay so much for the children to do. The only thing wrong was the bar salt despite having plenty of seats they decided to shut the kitchen at 1pm as they were too busy.

User

It’s worth a visit in any weather, don’t visit Cardiff without visiting the bay

I love Mermaid Key. It's vibrant, but relaxing. Most of the restaurants are fab and offer amazing lunch time deals. The atmosphere is welcoming, the opportunity to 'people watch' amazing and you can spend as little or as much as you want. Everybody can find their niche. It's somewhere where me and my hubby can ditch our worries and relax for a few hours.

Earlier today I actually suffered a seizure and a security guard called Mr Jennings was amazing in helping me out. As I passed out he helped my friend in getting me to the floor and actually caught my head which ofcourse helped tremendously. Mr Jennings also actually stayed with me the entire time, offered me his jacksd and spoke to me helping me keep calm and come around smoothly. I would just like to immensely thank him for what he did for me and would like everyone to know what an amazing man he is. Thank you so much again
