Merthyr Junior Wado-Kai Karate

Merthyr Junior Wado-Kai is based at Merthyr Leisure Centre and is run by Ashley Evans 6th Dan. Numerous classes; 6-13yrs, 14-20yrs, beginners, intermediate, advanced, & competition classes.

A well established and successful club that specialises in teaching and developing children and juniors from ages 6 through to 20 years.

The club teaches both 'traditional Karate' as well as 'competitive sport karate'. Classes run throughout the week and are split by grade to cater for the students' level of expertise and ability, including separate youth classes.

On the competition front, this year (2017) the club boasts 9 individual Welsh champions, 4 team champions and 4 Wales international fighters.

It's team of experienced and qualified instructors have clean CRB checks, first aid certification and child protection training.
