Today we remembered the fallen of aberfan, for our tomorrow they gave their today. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

We’re reminding you ahead of any 🔥#BonfireNight celebrations to be aware of safety around fires and fireworks with issued advice on how to treat some of the more common injuries which occur at this time of year.

Due to unforseen circumstances there will be no classes for youth or adults this week. All classes will resume as normal next week. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

It was a pleasure to have joined the rededication service, representing all of the St john members who assisted in the immediate aftermath of the disaster. We continue to mark the disaster on its anniversary with the laying of a wreath.

Today we have members fundraising at Tesco Merthyr store. All funds raised help us train to save lives, and run our fabulous cadet and badger groups. Come and say hi.😁🚑👋

Badgers and cadets started back tonight with our brand new badger programme and a planned trip to St Fagans for both cadets and badgers, can those who did not attend tonight contact us so we can get forms to you for the trip. I need them in by next week. Many thanks, Aaron.

We got members covering the kugb championship karate tournament today in Merthyr Tydfil with our colleagues from Merthyr Tydfil division and Dowlais division.

Huge thanks to jake Castle from Keep Wales Tidy and Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales for allocating underspend funds from the weir removal. Our badgers, cadets and adults all had a hand in making our garden area to the front of our hall, you'll also notice a Taff Rocks trading post nestled in there too. And for everyone asking we have planted more poppy's and wild flowers today.😁🌹🐝🌻🌺🌱
