About Metal Project

The METaL Project is part of the Materials department at Swansea University, based within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, a faculty which ranks in the top 10 for Engineering in the UK. METaL is an industry demand led project aiming to upskill people in the field of Advanced Materials and Manufacturing through the provision of short, 10 credit courses at Level 4 and above. METaL provides work-based technical training modules to address skills shortages in the Welsh manufacturing sector. We offer a series of Credit Qualifications which can be used towards professional development and further education. The project are currently offering the following funded courses: -Introduction to Materials-Introduction to CAD 2D & 3D-Environmental Impact & Sustainability-Corrosion and Coatings Technology-Manufacturing TechnologyThe METaL Project is supported by the European Social Fund, through the Welsh Government.
