Went there last night for the first time, awesome atmosphere, cracking live band, cheap drinks too and an all round great place to go for a night out in Newport we will be making it out regular place to be.

We went for the first time in years. Amazing place, brilliant music and great bar staff! Thanks for a good night.

Responsible for some of the most inspirational moments of my life. Too many to mention just a few. A very special place. �

Love the way the club is decorated and furnished. ..always smells good too !Great venue for music and bands

I went here on my birthday and had a great time! The atmosphere was amazing! Loved every second of it! Really good songs being played too! Thank you meze for a truly memorable night :)

Haven't had chance to witness a night out in the reinventing of an already great club.



However as a member of staff and witnessing the behind the scenes if you will, of the refurbishment, seeing the soul and passion being injected into it was simply awesome.



From the Decor to the sound system... "A lot of thought has gone into it" would simply be an understatement... The place looks fantastic and after feedback given from its Preview night Friday... This club will continue its legacy of epicness for Alternative Music.. Rock.. Metal.. DnB.. Enjoy!!

Best club I've ever been to (I've probably only ever been to about 20 clubs, but there it is). It's a great little community, and I probably spent my entire student loan there. In return, about 40% of the people I now call friends, I met in Meze.



If you like to avoid vapid robotic thumping, soul-crushing dance remixes of good songs and horrible cookie-cutter sugary pop fluff, this is the place.



And even if you want to avoid hearing songs that are... you know, GOOD, it's got a quality smoking area. If I had a penny for every time I've gotten into conversations with dudes up there who are all like "Man, it's just a really good vibe up here, ya know?", I'd have at least 4 pennies.



It's a lily in the rough. A diamond in the thorns. A jelly baby in the walnut bowl (I made that last one up just then - I'd really like it to catch on).

As a guitarist in the Britpop Tribute Band 'Modifi' this is one of my favourite venues to play in. Great sound, great staff, great audience, spotless and impressive condition. Thoroughly enjoy visiting Meze Lounge :)

I absolutely love this place with a passion. There's nowhere else in Newport I'd rather go on a Friday or Saturday night. This would have been rated 5 stars had it not been for the 3rd of June. The regular DJ there was not there and was replaced by another. Played some great music. We requested a certain band (rammstein) to be put on and he said he would. We would ask him again every half an hour. About 3.30am he even asked (Is du Hast okay?) and in the end roughly around about 4.30am he turned and told us he didn't have any Rammstein. None of us wouldn't have minded if he didn't drag it out over the night and down right lied to us. We wasn't the only ones he did this to either I know that. I know its not Meze's fault but other than that it was an amazing time as per usual. Shall be coming again!

Really enjoyed Acoustica 54 open mic yesterday. Thanks to all at Meze.

Used to be awesome one of the best places around, then it closed they re-did everything

And it was shite.

Then it closed again and finally died. Place is a shell of what it used to be. Another year or two and itll probly end up like TJ's

No matter how much I love meze I disagree that my friend got singled out and asked to leave due to no valid reason. The place is rthere to de-stress and have good time. Yet my friend got asked to leave on no good ground. It's wrong and I'm so dissapointed. Shame on you meze. Being singled out is no okay. If you went to empty to the club then just announce that it's closed don't single people out one by one. Sad times.
