Went to the Hayes restaurant for a family meal. Despite 3 meals going back to the kitchen the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Meals were changed without any problem at all and we received complementary desserts. Our waitresses Charlotte & Lydia were absolutely fantastic and we received amazing service. Couldn’t fault the service and many thanks to the management we’ve had a lovely afternoon x

We went here on Friday for my husbands birthday � Food was great, service was very good to, the cocktails � were very good we would definitely go there again but it is best to book a table or you might have to wait and have a drink at bar.

We had the chateaubriand medium rare and it was melt in the mouth .. great service too despite it being so busy .

Stunning food great service the lady that served us was very polite very professional the food came out fast and it was amazing I’v been to many places around Cardiff to eat and this place is right up there the boneless beef rib you must try

Nice atmosphere,good service and the sirloin steak was fabulous, best I've had in a long time.It's a bit expensive but great place for something special (it was our granddaughter's graduation).

Lovely glass of red with a delicious steak. Well done on a great gluten free menu...making eating out so much easier. Very nice waitress and nothing too much trouble even though very busy.

First to time of experiencing a Miller & Carter meal. It was delicious, steak cooked to perfection and despite it being busy the staff were very attentive. Highly recommend it.

First ever visit and what an excellent all round experience. Staff were fantastic with us even though the place was buzzing. Food/wine was outstanding. Can’t wait till The next time.

Came on 5th July for my daughter's graduation. Couldn't fault it , service was excellent and the 3course graduation meal was superb ! Came again yesterday to treat my sister, we had another superb meal , desserts were devine .We will most definitely be back !

Came here for a meal last week, for my son's 17th birthday at lunchtime. Even though it was very busy the staff were brilliant. I have to say a big thankyou to our waiter Djay who was very lovely and attentive to our young daughter who was feeling unwell, Our food was gorgeous the bistro steaks were cooked to perfection :-) as always we will be back!

We came for lunch pre Ed Sheeran concert & were not disappointed. We had the set lunch menu & must say we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals . The cocktails � were delicious too & even better as it was happy hour �. Staff were very helpful & polite . Will definitely be returning!!!!

Loved the lunch time menu & the service was very friendly & polite.

I have one observation & one criticism.

We were seated straight away & taken upstairs, which I was very pleased about having booked the Hayes restaurant to enjoy the deco. I was disappointed to find our table was layer out with my wife sitting with her back to a wall which meant I sat opposite facing a wall for the whole of the meal. Side booths would have at least allowed me to look around the attractive restaurant.

My complaint was the state of the toilet which was unexceptionable With pan in continual flow & dryer not working & room in need of an uplift.

Must say I really did enjoy my visit though.

I think my steak last night was the best yet, cooked to perfection, sauce was delicious, waiter was attentive and topped off with a gin and tonic! Thank you M & C i think this restaurant is way better than the bay! See u soon x

Food was excellent. Table service from Lucas was superb. My only suggestion would be to have more staff serving at the bar. We arrived half hour early for our reservation and were asked to have a drink at the bar while we waited, which we were more than happy to do in the spacious and comfortable bar area. Unfortunately we waited 20 minutes to be served as there was only one bar man serving (he was very attentive when he did serve us - he just could have done with some help!) so we didn’t get to enjoy the comfort for very long! Overall a great evening and will definitely be returning.

As always we had a good meal. Steaks cooked exactly as we had ordered. They had run out of the steak sauce I like but tasted two others as advised by our server. Called in on the off chance and we only had to wait a few minutes for our table. We’ll be back again and again. Good prices for a decent steak. Can’t comnent on the other choices on the menu but we always enjoy ourselves here and if there is anything wrong the restaurant will always accommodate.

Disappointed, had to send steak back, asked for medium well, came as medium rare, they put it back on the grill, waited & waited, there was 6 of us out celebrating, I told everyone to carry on eating, finally my steak returned black and very chewy, waitress asked if it was ok, I said I’m afraid not, she apologised took my meal away & then had a fresh one cooked, by the time it came back everyone had finished their meals completely. So I sat & ate my meal while everyone chatted.

The manager came over and apologised, ruined our evening.

Then to order deserts, 3 had asked for chocolate bomb(can’t remember proper name) they didn’t have any, the manager said he would get them from the bay branch & to have a round of drinks on the house as we would have to wait. He was amazing, but really not the best way to celebrate your 25th Wedding Anniversary.

My first time having the special menu, the quality of the meat wasn’t like usual even though we paid a £3 supplement each. What took the biscuit was our waitress left before we paid, and a waiter came and took the cash, putting the tip in his back pocket, I felt he should have returned it and we could have asked for it to be passed on. 🙄

Came for lunch with my mum yesterday and had the fixed lunch menu. Was told good things about it but was extremely disappointed. Starters was a few mushrooms with cheese on and 3 small pieces of stale bread, bland and not at all what expected. Had the prime steak burger with seasoned fries for main, the food was so greasy I've never tasted anything like it. No way was the burger 'prime steak'.. left us feeling ill the amount of grease on burger and fries. Best part of the meal was the dessert, although I could've had the same dessert at a pub restaurant. Overall, not a good experience at all. Won't be coming back.
