Wow what a fantastic experience. First Tattoo at 68! Nerves went out the window as soon as I met Kim. She was reassuring, produced exactly what I wanted with to my amazement no pain! No nasty after affects as predicted by many friends. Definitely recommend to everyone.

Would recommend this tattoo studio to anyone looking to get great results! Kim did two cover up tattoos for me and did a brilliant job. Friendly, professional staff and clean environment. Big thumbs up from me 👍

When you read a review you are often unsure if it’s just a personal opinion. After being tattooed by Oliver I find it hard to see a reason why anyone would be disappointed. From the get go he was enthusiastic, honest and open to all ideas. He made the whole process so simple. When I got to Miss Ries the whole shop and all the staff make you feel welcome and home. Oliver stayed longer than he usually would just to finish the work on me and he was so passionate about what he does. I had travelled in just to see Oliver and by the time we were done it was dark and late and he even dropped me to the station to travel home. After his work he continued to ensure everything was good by making regular contract to check the healing was going well.

Can’t recommend Oliver enough to anyone!!

Well, what can I say, being a 30 something-year-old who has always wanted a tattoo but been a big baby and never got one, last year I started researching tattoo artists, having decided to just stop letting fear hold me back in life. After seeing work done by Kimi, I decided I would like my tattoo done by her and meeting Kimi and the team at Miss Rie's, they totally put me at ease. The quality of the artwork they produce and the time and effort that goes into designing your tattoos is just outstanding. Today I had my first tattoo with the extremely talented, super kind and amazing Kimi having travelled nearly two hours from home for, and it was the best experience I could have hoped for. Nothing like I had imagined it would be like, I honestly thought she'd started and I'd be off screaming I can't do it and being a total crybaby. Not a tear nothing more than the occasional bottom lip bite, but honestly having my eyebrows or top lip waxed is way more painful. I would trust myself in the gentle kind talented hands of Kimi and can't recommend her or the Miss Rie's team highly enough.

Top tattoo shop definatly recommend it. All the the staff are friendly and great music lol hahaha #disney # letitgo

The studio is clean, light and very tidy. There are a number of very talented artists' and always someone available to speak to would-be clients', who come in to enquire about a future inking, they take their time, explaining clearly about the tattoo the person wants and advising best place to have it. With offers of tea or coffee during your tattoo, i can't really find anything negative to say. A truly 5-☆ experience......except for the pain of course!! �

Myself and my girlfriend Had a matching pair of old style sailors tattoos today, hearts,scrolls names and flowers done very professionally by Kim.

Very impressed with the workmanship and artistry that went into both pieces.

In the past I've had a few tattoos from different places and I can honestly say Miss Rie is the best tattooist by far. I will also add that never before have I had a tattoo that barely hurt , Miss Rie was so so gentle and very very impressive that I've booked in for an enhancement on an older tattoo with Miss Rie and can't wait to have that done . My husband was also so impressed with my tattoo he's booked in for a big tattoo in February . I recently decided that I wanted a new tattoo and Miss Rie's came recommended. I can honestly say that I won't be going anywhere else in the future. The shop itself is clean, and the staff are so friendly and helpful, they make you feel comfortable and at ease straight away. I came to Kim for a touch up of a tattoo I had done elsewhere. I cannot thank Kim enough for putting the effort into making my tattoo amazing. She spent a lot of time and effort on this piece and the final result is perfect. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!

Had the father/daughter/mountain/eye piece. The best decision I ever made was going with Oliver 'pj' Boots for it. Stunning work, astonishing attention to detail and couldn't ask for a nicer bloke to spend 10+ hours with (even if he was inflicting pain on me for the majority of the time). Wouldn't think of ever going with anyone else again. Highly recommended!

Wow! What a great place. I was very nervous but everyone was so lovely I was relaxed within minutes of walking through the door. Staff are friendly and welcoming and I felt like I'd known them for years. Kim did a tattoo for me and my daughter and I couldn't have felt in safer hands.

Came in today for a smiley piercing with Dave after putting it off for some time due to being an anxious Annie. Anyway Dave was fab he was so lovely he made me feel completely at ease, he talked me through the whole piercing and I can honestly say it was the least painless piercing I’ve had!! getting the jewellery on was a little trickier than I’d imagined but after chatting to others sounds like mine was done in record time so yey! Highly recommended. Just got an industrial piercing in my left ear, so happy with how it looks(despite the initial swelling of course). Dave was lovely, as were the others, will definitely come back for more! I felt valued as a customer and like I was in safe, capable hands. Thank you so much!

Had the father/daughter/mountain/eye piece. The best decision I ever made was going with Oliver 'pj' Boots for it. Stunning work, astonishing attention to detail and couldn't ask for a nicer bloke to spend 10+ hours with (even if he was inflicting pain on me for the majority of the time). Wouldn't think of ever going with anyone else again. Highly recommended!

Had my first tattoo here yesterday, wow what a result!! All the staff were extremely friendly, lovely environment, totally relaxed. Ollie did my tattoo, and I cannot praise his skills highly enough! Had my first sitting today with Oliver ‘PJ’ Boots starting my sleeve. Really nice atmosphere with all the staff but can’t fault the professionalism from Oliver. Really happy and looking forward to January already �

Had my 1st ever tattoo here yesterday.

Wow! What a great place. I was very nervous but everyone was so lovely I was relaxed within minutes of walking through the door. Staff are friendly and welcoming and I felt like I'd known them for years. Kim did a tattoo for me and my daughter and I couldn't have felt in safer hands.

Highly recommended and have already done so.

Had a helix piercing and a jewellery change in my nose with Dave. He definitely puts you at ease, both were done quickly and well. The atmosphere in the studio is great and really friendly. Will be back soon for the next.

Fantastic experience at this tattoo studio with Kim last week. Kim’s design was exactly what I was looking for and she did a wonderful job at tattooing over a very old tattoo of mine that I was no longer happy with. Already booked my next appointment! Would highly recommend this studio and Kim in particular.

Easily the best in Newport. Friendly clean and professional and above all the work is second to none. I couldn't recommend the place enough. Would never go anywhere else.

Came in today for a smiley piercing with Dave after putting it off for some time due to being an anxious Annie. Anyway Dave was fab he was so lovely he made me feel completely at ease, he talked me through the whole piercing and I can honestly say it was the least painless piercing I’ve had!! getting the jewellery on was a little trickier than I’d imagined but after chatting to others sounds like mine was done in record time so yey! After my daughter went to school on world book day dressed as Harley Quinn. I asked Rhi if she could do a portrait of her in that style. What she did was just amazing.
