Residential outdoor education from 3 centres across South Wales.

Monlife Outdoor Adventure Description
Gwent Outdoor Centres is the group name for three outdoor education centres owned and run by Monmouthshire Council. The centres are open for bookings by school groups from all over the UK.
Our facilities can also be hired by other groups such as the Scouts, Guides, sports clubs, youth organisations, families and corporate groups.
The centres are Hilston Park near Monmouth, Gilwern near Abergavenny and Talybont-on-Usk near Brecon – together they're sited near some of the best hillwalking, climbing, caveing and canoeing outdoor environments you could wish to find in the UK. The River Wye, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons are all on the doorstep.
Established in 1970, thousands of children from schools all over the UK have enjoyed outdoor activity courses, field trips and adventures at our centres.
Our sites have educational facilities and camping fields that are regularly used by groups like the Scouts, Guides and Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition teams.
Gilwern has accommodation available for large groups and a hall with indoor bouldering wall and a large outdoor climbing tower. There is flat access to accommodation, a wheel chair accessible abseil ramp and braille orienteering course.
Hilston Park, a beautiful listed building, caters for large groups and is set in beautiful grounds where groups can try archery. Hilston Park also has a self-catering lodge for hire for smaller, independent groups.
At Talybont-on-Usk there is accommodation for smaller groups in a former railway station. In the grounds there is a fire pit and outdoor seating area and classrooms for group use.

Anyone needing a canoe leader assessment? We have one running December 4 & 5, Abergavenny (River Usk) £130.
We looking for some students to be coached by candidates on a canoe leader assessment. December 4 and 5. Based at Abergavenny. One day flat water, one day white water. Get in contact if you're interested. Canoes and kit can be provided.
Teacher training early in 2020. For staff involved in overseeing off site trips and visits.

The Monmouthshire Games this half term took us to Symonds yat on a adventure day.
