Tintern Village seen from the Devils Pulpit. A super walk up from the village!

Tintern remembers. A service was held this morning in Tintern Abbey to commemorate the fallen in many conflicts. The picture shows the service in progress, attended by the Tintern company of the Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade, by scouts from Monmouthshire, and by many others who came to show their respects. In the foreground are ceramic poppies made by the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts of Monmouthshire.

Usk is famous for its prizewinning displays of wonderful flowers, no less at this season . We will remember them.

Come stay with us for the weekend! Chepstow & District Rotary Club presents a Torchlight Carol Service at Tintern Abbey on Saturday the 7th of December at 5.45pm. (Procession into the Abbey commences at 6.00pm.) All proceeds will go to Rotary Charities.
Entry by programme is £5.00 for each adult. Children under16 enter free.... Assemble at The Anchor Inn, Tintern. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for an outdoor event.
