It's an exciting weekend! Not only do we have the glorious sunshine gleaming upon our beautiful Welsh mountain Ranch, we are delighted to welcome the Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE Wales) to the Ranch who will be hosting a Fun Day on Sunday!
Head to the Ranch Football pitch to help ICE Wales construct an awesome replica of the famous 15m long Second Severn crossing along with a number of engineering related games. There is also an IC...E Invisible Superhero's themed trail which utilises Wales' only officially licensed Gruffalo Trail! All this plus our weekend events below:

We've just come back from visiting for the first time and we can't wait to come again!

Could not rave more about this place.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the toilets clean, the food great value (and delicious!), the scenery is outstanding... Absolutely beautiful views, the land is extensive and so much fun to explore.... The animals are a lovely bonus and we were so pleased to see the enclosures are great sizes пҝҪ

The tree houses were unbelievable... We all had fun exploring them, lovely tree swings around every corner, the gruffalo trail was wonderful... Such beautiful characters...and enchanting woods for den building and fairy finding!

We are looking forward to coming back peak time to enjoy the activities!

We took our two year old daughter here today and it was wonderful. Lots of safe space for her to run around and explore. All the areas are well thought of and great for children of all ages. A couple of activities are on throughout the day e.g. space hopper races. We obviously didnвҖҷt go on the High ropes but we did see the course and that it was ВЈ10 for two goes which I think is excellent value for money. Lots of space for you to have your own picnics but the cafe also looked nice. Will definitely be returning.

Visited for the first time yesterday. My 10 year old daughter and 1 year old niece absolutely loved it as did parents and grandparents. The guys on the high ropes were so friendly and made my daughter feel at ease and not rushed. She loved it! The animals and fairy wood was wonderful for my niece. Rolypoly hill was also a hit. The pizza/hot dogs were delicious with huge portion of chips and quick service. We were blessed with lovely weather and an extremely warm welcome from the lady at the ticket office. ItвҖҷs such a great place and a bargain price, weвҖҷll definitely be back!

Such a good day out and great value for money! Visited for the first time today with my 1 year old and 3 year old and couldn't believe how much there was to see and do. My 3 year old had a great time running around and my 1 year old loved it too. Would definitely return!

Just got home from a fabulous day out! Both our 6 month and 6 year old enjoyed as did my partner and I! This was our first visit and we will be happy to drive the hour and a bit to return. An extremely good value day out!

Just been up the ranch for the first time and we loved it. Attention to detail is bang on and the kids (3/4 year olds) had an amazing time. CanвҖҷt believe we havenвҖҷt been here before. Few suggestions.. would love to see some water play up there and evening opening hours in summer to take the children after school. 4pm is too early. Just one evening a week with options to buy dinner would be worth trying out.

It was our first visit yesterday and what a lovely place for all the family. I did not expect to see so much! The Gruffalo trail was wonderful, and the characters were beautifully made. The toddler story event was also a nice addition to the park, which was well delivered by an entertainer dressed as Red Riding Hood (you could tell she loved her job). My daughter was so excited and absolutely loved her, so that was the cherry on the cake for us. I would like to send my thanks for a wonderful experience and to the entertainer for yesterday. We will definitely be coming back xx

Had a fab day exploring mountain view ranch with the children and collecting all the stamps. The story time was really interesting for the children and got them really involved with props. The food was lovely in the cafe as well. Bargain price for a day out. Will be visiting again in the near future пҝҪ

First visit today and absolutely loved it! The fact we could bring our dog with us was a bonus. There are loads of areas to explore and activities for children, the play area is lovely and big. Fantastic day out at the Mountain View ranch. The weather was fab so that was a bonus. The boys loved the high ropes and our little ones loved the Gruffalo trail and magical fairy woods. Marshmallow roasting was great and the archery was also a hit. The pizza place was great with quite a bit of choice. Only one critism, no gluten free options for me. Free water was a fab idea to keep everyone hydrated and ninety nine percent of activities were included in the price. Fabulous views and plenty of outdoor fun. We will definitely go again x

Everything was amazing . THE staff was also very welcoming and polite. .. my two little boys along with myself and their father had a brilliant time ... their imaginations run completely wild. We will defiantly be back again soon. Thank you for an amazing family day out x

Despite the rainy morning we Had, we still had a fantastic full day. Love how it is expanding with new adventures to seek out.

Hi five to the person how carved out all the faces in the trees. Love the personal touches.

We went today and was really good my 3 boys really enjoyed... however the food place I wasnвҖҷt so pleased about.. over 40mins I waiting for 3hotdogs witch I had to go up and ask about or IвҖҷd have waited longer for them to make them in seconds and hand me 3 straight away. So next time I will be taking a picnic but other than that was enjoyable day.

We had a fantastic day. Very clean and tidy all the way round and toilets were lovely.

I will say that some bits are hard to get to for disabled. My son is 3 and registered blind. He walks with a cane and so we couldn't get to some parts because the paths were just bumpy grass. Apart from this it was fantastic day out and I would highly recommend it .

Great place to take the kids but the choice of food in the restaurant..... there is no choice it's pizza, hot dog, or chips. And with a 20 month old and a 3 year old we were left with 2 hungry children. such a shame after a great morning.

Absolutely beautiful place. Lots to see. However the toilets were very dirty and there was no toilet roll. And the pizza/coffee shop doesn't cater for young children or anyone with dietary requirements. Other than that a very nice place and we would visit again but maybe just bring our own food

Me and my 9year old came to visit today

( it was hot ), we had Brilliant time despite the heat.

He loved collecting the stamps and it was lovely to watch him run free. I also have 2 small children who would love this place ..

The only negative I found was the lack of toilet facilities the further along the trail you go . I know there are a few close to the entrance and it says to use before you go, BUT and yes a big BUT if like myself you have bladder issues and a bowel condition. Using a potter toilet with a line of 10/15 school kids also waiting to use it meaning I felt rushed !! Was not a nice experience.. If there was a more permanent building at the bottom 1/2 way round then it would give confidence to people like myself to visit.

Hope to visit again soon once more appropriate toilets built .

Marshmallow roasting was great and the archery was also a hit. The pizza place was great with quite a bit of choice. Only one critism, no gluten free options for me. Free water was a fab idea to keep everyone hydrated and ninety nine percent of activities were included in the price. Fabulous views and plenty of outdoor fun. We will definitely go again x

Everything was amazing . THE staff was also very welcoming and polite. .. my two little boys along with myself and their father had a brilliant time ... their imaginations run completely wild. We will defiantly be back again soon. Thank you for an amazing family day out x

We went today and was really good my 3 boys really enjoyed... however the food place I wasnвАЩt so pleased about.. over 40mins I waiting for 3hotdogs witch I had to go up and ask about or IвАЩd have waited longer for them to make them in seconds and hand me 3 straight away. So next time I will be taking a picnic but other than that was enjoyable day.

We had a fantastic day. Very clean and tidy all the way round and toilets were lovely.

I will say that some bits are hard to get to for disabled. My son is 3 and registered blind. He walks with a cane and so we couldn't get to some parts because the paths were just bumpy grass. Apart from this it was fantastic day out and I would highly recommend it .

Great place to take the kids but the choice of food in the restaurant..... there is no choice it's pizza, hot dog, or chips. And with a 20 month old and a 3 year old we were left with 2 hungry children. such a shame after a great morning.

Absolutely beautiful place. Lots to see. However the toilets were very dirty and there was no toilet roll. And the pizza/coffee shop doesn't cater for young children or anyone with dietary requirements. Other than that a very nice place and we would visit again but maybe just bring our own food

( it was hot ), we had Brilliant time despite the heat.

He loved collecting the stamps and it was lovely to watch him run free. I also have 2 small children who would love this place ..

The only negative I found was the lack of toilet facilities the further along the trail you go . I know there are a few close to the entrance and it says to use before you go, BUT and yes a big BUT if like myself you have bladder issues and a bowel condition. Using a potter toilet with a line of 10/15 school kids also waiting to use it meaning I felt rushed !! Was not a nice experience.. If there was a more permanent building at the bottom 1/2 way round then it would give confidence to people like myself to visit.

Hope to visit again soon once more appropriate toilets built .

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the toilets clean, the food great value (and delicious!), the scenery is outstanding... Absolutely beautiful views, the land is extensive and so much fun to explore.... The animals are a lovely bonus and we were so pleased to see the enclosures are great sizes пҝҪ

The tree houses were unbelievable... We all had fun exploring them, lovely tree swings around every corner, the gruffalo trail was wonderful... Such beautiful characters...and enchanting woods for den building and fairy finding!

We are looking forward to coming back peak time to enjoy the activities!

We took our two year old daughter here today and it was wonderful. Lots of safe space for her to run around and explore. All the areas are well thought of and great for children of all ages. A couple of activities are on throughout the day e.g. space hopper races. We obviously didnвҖҷt go on the High ropes but we did see the course and that it was ВЈ10 for two goes which I think is excellent value for money. Lots of space for you to have your own picnics but the cafe also looked nice. Will definitely be returning.

Visited for the first time yesterday. My 10 year old daughter and 1 year old niece absolutely loved it as did parents and grandparents. The guys on the high ropes were so friendly and made my daughter feel at ease and not rushed. She loved it! The animals and fairy wood was wonderful for my niece. Rolypoly hill was also a hit. The pizza/hot dogs were delicious with huge portion of chips and quick service. We were blessed with lovely weather and an extremely warm welcome from the lady at the ticket office. ItвҖҷs such a great place and a bargain price, weвҖҷll definitely be back!

The best place we have been to in a long time! So much to do, value for money, amazing food! My little girl hasn't stopped talking about it! We can't wait to come back!

Such a good day out and great value for money! Visited for the first time today with my 1 year old and 3 year old and couldn't believe how much there was to see and do. My 3 year old had a great time running around and my 1 year old loved it too. Would definitely return!

Just got home from a fabulous day out! Both our 6 month and 6 year old enjoyed as did my partner and I! This was our first visit and we will be happy to drive the hour and a bit to return. An extremely good value day out!

Just been up the ranch for the first time and we loved it. Attention to detail is bang on and the kids (3/4 year olds) had an amazing time. CanвҖҷt believe we havenвҖҷt been here before. Few suggestions.. would love to see some water play up there and evening opening hours in summer to take the children after school. 4pm is too early. Just one evening a week with options to buy dinner would be worth trying out.

It's a great place to visit...better if the sun is shinning as it's green and hilly and on a rainy muddy day not good.

It's for all ages....zip wires, tree houses tree swings, climbing trees for the older 1s.

For the younger 1s the Gruffalo trail is amazing and little cute animals, the fairy wood and now a unicorn has been added...very magical for little eyes пҝҪ

Would say to take a picnic, there are lots of picnic tables scattered everywhere and grass to sit on.

Cafe can get extremely busy and queuing can take a while, and it's quite pricey to eat in which can make the day out expensive for a family.

I would highly recommend Mountain view ranch 100% it's for all ages even adults as I found out on my visit пҝҪ A guaranteed great day out for all !!!!!!

It was our first visit yesterday and what a lovely place for all the family. I did not expect to see so much! The Gruffalo trail was wonderful, and the characters were beautifully made. The toddler story event was also a nice addition to the park, which was well delivered by an entertainer dressed as Red Riding Hood (you could tell she loved her job). My daughter was so excited and absolutely loved her, so that was the cherry on the cake for us. I would like to send my thanks for a wonderful experience and to the entertainer for yesterday. We will definitely be coming back xx

Had a fab day exploring mountain view ranch with the children and collecting all the stamps. The story time was really interesting for the children and got them really involved with props. The food was lovely in the cafe as well. Bargain price for a day out. Will be visiting again in the near future пҝҪ

First visit today and absolutely loved it! The fact we could bring our dog with us was a bonus. There are loads of areas to explore and activities for children, the play area is lovely and big. The pizza and fries in the cafe were delicious. Bit steep in parts with a buggy. Think I would've liked a snack kiosk further into the park, and maybe some more toilets and a more private area to change baby. Some shaded/sheltered seating would be nice. Also as a dog owner either dogs allowed in all or part of the cafe or maybe just a sheltered area outside the cafe to eat would be nice. All in all a fab day can't wait to our next visit!
