Yes there was a storm today in Baltic Belfast for our mini Pottery Throw Down All the potty potters produced amazing work in hand building pulling handles and throwing on the wheels Rosemary Tanya and Sarah were our winners. Saul the head chef @Bullitt made an entire dinner service complete with an elephants foot bowl !! ⭐️MEET GEMMA ⭐️ Gemma is an illustrator/author from the Causeway Coast. She graduated from Falmouth University in 2011 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Illustration. She also graduated with her first authored and illustrated picture book deal after visiting the Bologna Children’s Book Fair during her final year of study. Her books have now been published globally and been nominated for awards such as the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal, Dundee Picture Book Awards and Coventry Insp...iration Book Awards. That was one hell of a workshop in ceramic jewellery by Steph of @Deckle Blue albeit an eventful one with fire evacuations and surprise Birthdays!!! Everyone went home happy with their lovely ceramic wares either for themselves or to give as presents We met lovely creatives from all arts and parts from Eithne from Limerick from Liz from her Stangford Lough island farm. WOWZERS Would you look at these I can't believe these were made from the ancient ceramic technique Raku Unreal !! Claire Murdock Ceramics!!! The detailing and colour in your elephants were astonishing So brave of all the Potters Rosa's Ducks were pretty amazing too with that copper glaze Also loved the Nerikomi ..Have never seen that done before !!! So mesmerising/pschyedelic Quote/Words of the week have to be good ol'norn Irish DIABOLICAL and BRUTAL from Claire lols What did everyone else enjoy? Is Peaky Blinder's filmed there too? mmm?
