Now Iā€™ve not been training flow recently as my priorities have shifted. Iā€™ll be getting straight back onto it when I start my MA in contemporary dance in September. Below are some tips that you might find helpful:
1) Stop watching other peopleā€™s videos - youā€™re looking too much like them.
... 2)Watch more videos BUT with the intention of Inspiration not replication - big difference.
3) People are going to laugh when you start. Man, people are going to laugh when youā€™ve been doing it 20 years. Thatā€™s their issue. Not yours.
4) Get it wrong LOADS. Give your self permission to find new pathways that youā€™re not familiar with.
5) Film your training. Sadly, what feels good doesnā€™t necessarily look good. Show it to people and ask for feedback. Donā€™t get defensive if they donā€™t like it. Put your ego down and ask what they think might improve it. IF theyā€™re simply going to criticise without any positive feedback Stone Cold Stun them.
6)Get a teacher and learn from them.
7) Give it time. In this Selfie/ i / social media generation we seem to demand stuff now. Right now! Chill your beans -go do a poo and know that this is a marathon, not a race.

MUSCLE-UP SLOMO:
ā€¢ After false grip chin / deep ring dip strength itā€™s all about the transition.
ā€¢ Break it down and practice it on low Rings with your feet for support.
... ā€¢ If your having problems hitting these positions try working on increasing range in shoulder extension (for the deep ring dip) and wrist flexion (for the false grip)
ā€¢ Always pause at the top of the false grip chin on the way down. Spending more time there will add up and help you in the long run. Do it, donā€™t be lazy!šŸ˜€šŸ‘Š

Top class coaches. Do a fantastic job of breaking down the complexities of bodyweight training to make it accessible for anyone. Highly recommend jumping on a workshop!

These guys were brilliant!



As a complete beginner with handstands, rings and the like naturally i didn't feel confident going into the workshop.



They broke all the movements down and really built my confidence to a point where i left knowing it's all very possible for me.



Had a lot of fun along the way too!



Brilliant coaching with a pair of really cool easy going guys.

Thanks to the advice on exercises and how to rehabilitate my shoulder injury from these boys. Really helped my progression and will be visiting them in the near future. Keep up the hard work, would definitely recommend.

Just attended my second workshop with these guys and loved it. They are a great team who know their stuff and can make even scary aerial ring work accessible to beginners.



A word of caution though. If you go out for lunch with them watch out for Jonathan and his habit of popping some one arm handstands and backflips in busy restaurants.



Clearly this is a sad attempt to perform for his meal in lieu of payment. You can ask him if it works...

I just had the most awesome experience on my first workshop with Alex & Jonathan. I loved their ā€œhands-onā€ approach to breaking down advanced, technically complex movements making them less daunting.



Within an hr of learning handstand technique & execution, my handstand went from knowing what to do in theory to actually being able to put the theory into practice & being able to hold a handstand!



I also made my first flag, muscle-up & lever attempts all in one day!?



These coaches have really opened my mind to whatā€™s possible having access the their expertise! Iā€™m excited to fast track my performance goals!
