the 2017 MTB Marathon series has been fantastic. Great organisation and trails that I will be reminiscing about through the coming dark/wet winter months with anticipation for 2018.

User

Took part today in stage 1 Builth Wells, superb location, lot's of parking and space for 700+ entries this year, the course layout, markings and Marshalling were top drawer, 2 x food and drink stations en route on the half marathon and free, fully stocked and all great quality and quantity, event photography, finishers t shirt, nice stalls to buy stuff from and support the company's and organisation. Can't wait for round 2. Top effort, job done by all involved! Ps next time please cancel the wind lol

User

These events are really well organised, challenging and fun. Also it's refreshing not to have to pay for event photos separately, hopefully other event organisers will follow your example.

Round 1 2018 Builth Wells: Mud might be most people’s memory of this weekend but that wouldn’t give justice to what was a beautiful and fun start to this years series. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the guys were trying to get everyone pitched on a very wet field. Most made it in fine, I tried and failed and the guys drove my van in and put it in place, now that’s customer service. The night ride was wet and sloppy but gave us insight into the main event. The route on Sunday was epic, you name we had it, fire roads, grass track, single track, double track all very damp! The course ran us out over the moor where I caught site a of herd of wild horses, galloping, manes flowing across our path, stunning. The route was challenging, it was difficult to maintain speed in these conditions by the views where breathtaking. Finish line in front of the stage in the event village was a genius stroke. The live music on Saturday night set the tone with rocky edge. This is the first time I’ve finished a ride in a concert! My wife was having a great time and it was like I’d just cycled in to join the party! The team here put together an inclusive festival weekend that you and all the family will enjoy whether they cylcle or not. This is the the UK’s best and most inclusive series. Can’t wait for Wantage.

Not my first and won't be my last Scott event, less wind this year at Builth but some long tough climbs. Can't thank you guys enough for helping get me off my fat arse and onto a bike for the Abergavenny 2012 - these events have inspired me to get fitter, get a better bike(s) and get my mates involved. Loved it, great to see so many families, and the event is so well organised. Gonna make the full marathon one day, there's always Hope ( this year at least) .

User

My son and I cycled the mini marathon in Builth Wells and we loved it. Brilliant course, so well organised and so many people taking part. Next year we will do the half marathons. Was fantastic. Thank you so much.

User

My second year of this great series, gives me the motivation to get out and train, and just ride my bike. My whole family love it, my two boys enjoy the Hope academy as well. Apart from the riding it gives us as a family 4 weekends camping spending quality time together. Well organised and safe, and total respect to the guys for all their hard work throughout the year making this possible.

User

My first. Enjoyed the Exposure lights Big Night Out, and the Mini this time.. 'This time' hah, says it all, I'll be doing it again...

Well organised, friendly and inclusive.. Thanks Gareth, Dave and 'the Voice'.. plus all the stewards and helpers

User

My first ever event like this in exmoor this year, followed up nicely with hope valley ride for Charlie. An epic ride with some awesome cuts through the landscape. Tuff climbs but well rewarded with rocky downhills

Hoping to attempt 50k 2018!

Loved it. Awesome atmosphere friendly and fun events

User

I'm doing this almost 4 years in a row this is the most challenging (@Builth Wells) trails that I've experienced coz of muddy trails but we loved it

User

Great event at Builth Wells today, really well run, compered, sign-posted and marshalled. Thank you so much for putting on these events (and going the extra mile to accomodate our particular requirements).

User

Did my first Scott mtb marathon in Wantage today. Just my kind of course. Fast dusty descents and great scenery.

The organisation and signage were great. A huge thank you to all the marshals and helpers at hq. Very happy and supportive.

Great event.

User

Cracking weekend yet again. Rode the night ride myself, then rode the mini marathon with my two kids, whilst the wife relaxed!

We arrived Friday night ahead of the predicted weather, but the team did a great job getting people both in and out of the venue.

Great job by all concerned.... clearly the best cycling experience whatever your age or ability.

Thanks to all!

User

Brilliant! Well organised with feed stations at sensible points. We were toward the back and there was still plenty of water and food. Signs were were clear and freqent. Thoroughly enjoyed!

User

Been going to these events with my dad since 2007. 10 years later and I'm still loving it and still get just as excited as my first event! Roll on 2018.

User

Another great weekend and a big shout out to Cycle-tec for sorting a bike last minute for son. I can feel the sun shining in Wantage already.

User

Another cracking weekend in Builth Wells for the 1st round. Mud mud and more mud . What a difference in a year. Cracking night ride on Saturday. Even better on the Sunday. Well done all involved see you in Wantage.

A lot of people could learn a lot from the two main organizers of this event ( Gareth+David ) thay are possible two of the most helpful people I have had the pleasure to meet in my life nothing is to much trouble big or small if you are thinking of taking up the sport or just looking for a little help and support in choosing your next set of wheels thay will not disappoint you in helping you make the right decision there spotless workshop and shop is crammed with all the latest tools replacement bits and most welcoming environment you can ever wish for a big thank you to you both for keeping this event going and a very big BIG thanks to you both personally for all the help and support you have given Jamie and myself over the last year or so you should be very proud of yourself thanks xxx

User

Sunday at Builth wells was a great event, spectacular course with amazing views over the welsh hills, even if it was wet and very very very muddy the entire course was rideable, great was also the support through the event with fantastic people at feeding station that also offered technical support in case of a break down...... What it does need to be improve from the organiser is more information through the course like a countdown on the distance very important for those riding the long distance, an extra couple of get wash was definitely need it, you only get your riding time but not ranking.....and even if everybody knows that the average cyclist is a skinny person a size S T-shirt is never available at the end of every cycling event.....said that I hope to find those things at the next event.
