Mustashrik Description

Film, Animation, Art and Design Studio.

Mustashrik cut his teeth as a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Concept Artist, Character Designer, and Animation Director, working with the international media-markets top production companies and advertising agencies before launching his career as a solo Director. Soon after the transition he co-created one of 2011’s most talked about commercials for Muller called “Wunderful Stuff”. Continuing to impress with his attention to detail and intense directorial vision, he has directed for clients including Louis Vuitton (a short film scored by Gustavo Santaolalla), Chloe, NOS Energy, Michael Kors, an award winning campaign film for Girl Effect, and live-multi screen visual performances for musician Ed Sheeran. Since then he has been featured in Shots Magazine, Art Review, D& AD and Bloomsberg News for his creative work. His animations have been nominated at various international film festivals including Official Selection at Annecy and his original graphic novel adaptation of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar has been awarded as one of the top Young Adult Fiction books published since 2000 by The American Library Association. Mustashrik recently for his Girl Effect film, “Invisible Barriers” won a Bronze Award for Best International Animation at Kinsale 2016, within the International Film Craft category for Cinema, TV and Online. Supporting this on an educational level, Mustashrik has been an early advocate and champion of Animation and Character Design, holding Workshops, Talks and Seminars on behalf and commission by The British Council around the globe – as an example in the UK, Spain, and South Africa.
