Throwback Thursday ...this photo was taken almost 15 years ago 😁 all MWP V6 conversions

So who remembers this VXR8?.. It's one of the ones we had adapted for a disability..he bought it less than 10 months ago and has done over 10k he is never out of it he says 😁. Well it was back in last week for a service and he said it hadnt been running quite right...When Danny dropped it off he asked if it was worth getting it tuned ..well of course we said yes the results we have been getting from Luis Sola tunes are not just about getting more ponies but the drivability especially with the sluggish auto boxes ..so after sorting the few nigglys , service, a nice set of AAS Headers it was on the Dyno ..It was collected yesterday and this afternoon we got a call from him to say he actually loves us all and to thank everyone who worked on it and he loves his car more than ever 😁

It's been all go again this past couple of weeks..various vehicles in for repairs servicing and a few cosmetics alongside this sales cars going out and new stock arriving means the workshop is never quiet..here are a few pics of what we have been working on ..if you head over to our car sales page you can see full details of our new arrivals 😁

This amazing barn find in the workshop getting prepped for sale ...One of only 19 big boot Vauxhall imported Devil Yellow Monaros..It has been garaged most of its life with only one former keeper and just 9.5k on clock..its not even run in 😁 what a find ..

Nearly at the end of another busy week this week.. plenty going on in the workshop and sales...The stunning RS6 and very rare silver lightening Astra VXR went out to their new owners and the awesome S/C VXR8 will be delivered to it's new home tomorrow...we had a VXR8 in today for its annual service & MOT which we sold last year nice to see it being cherished and an awesome plate fitted..Marc is on the road again today as we are collecting something quite rare from as far as Cornwall today 😁

The end of another busy week in the workshop..Matt and Dave have been very busy...Some awesome V8's tuned by Luis Sola ..Few Insignia VXR'S in for repairs and haldex servicing, alongside the usual servicing and repairs, prepping of sales cars and plenty going on in sales as you will see from our MWPeformance Cars Sales facebook page which Mike has been busy on... watch out for new stock on there arriving too 😉 we even fitted a new clutch and Turbo to Marc's baby (his Sportive 😂) Next weeks diary is pretty full...Dave will be doing more on the latest project street sleeper..watch this space 😁

Well it's been a very busy December for us ...we are just starting to wind down for Christmas..we have had a few big jobs on.. some awesome reveals and some very happy customers...lots going on in sales ..some nice fresh stock arrived including some classics and we have also managed to give reception a bit of a makeover ..we been having a good sort out of stock for the new website shop too ..Marc has been sorting out Matts 🤔😂 and we have been getting in the festive spirit 😁 here are a few pics of what we been up to

Our latest "MWP touch" project ..Peter Derbyshires VXR8 was handed over to us recently for a bit of TLC...this car has been maintained mechanically but not cosmetically ..So after a few mechanical jobs a full service, brake disc skimming, new pads a caliper refurb, full wheel refurb in matt black and exhaust tips painted matt black it was off to the bodyshop for front end and rear bumper paint work..then some MWP/HSV ghost stripes and a set of tinted fog covers and as a special surprise and a gift from the boss man we fitted a rear screen spoiler the result is just amazing 😁

It's been as busy as ever here at MWP lots in and out of the workshop..and we finalised our Corsa E VXR stage 3 software...producing a safe 250ps and 288lbs torque we were happy with the the results...Full details of hardwear needed will be available on our website shortly 😁

Our latest 'MWP touch' project.... We were delighted to hand back this VXR8 to its owner Tim Wikner yesterday evening...it came in for an LS7 Clutch upgrade and a repair to the back bumper about 5 weeks ago...the repair wasnt a problem it was matching the matt grey wrap that seemed to be throwing us.. so after a long conversation Tim decided on removing the wrap upon removal it took some(quite a lot🙈) of the paint off which we sort of expected 🤔..lucky for him it had only had little previous repair so the base of the car was good so bumpers painted rear arches done and the outcome is unreal ...was great feeling revealing his pride and joy looking as well as it does now...and the strangest thing as we pulled it up outside from bringing it back from the valeters the speedo was all the 8's 😁

Love this Van... As everyone knows we are very fond of these SE vans running two of them in house, this lucky example was not only a super clean van sold by ourselves but then purchased and very tastefully modified by one of our customers Jake Kilshaw, when we purchased the vehicle back (normal practice for Jake as he gets bored) it's now lucky new owner Steve Smith is just as fastidious and although this is a working van and not a toy it really is cherished. Now back in for more upgrades in the form of, inlet manifold de-coke & swirl flap delete, some subtle exhaust modifications and of course some extra stopping power with the fitment of a set of VXR Brakes.

How to turn a negative into a positive.. When this lovely Insignia VXR turned up with suspected engine issues as previously diagnosed owner Phil Lawson was obviously devastated. Our in house Insignia VXR guru Matt soon diagnosed the vehicle correctly and a pretty straight forward repair thus meaning Phil could now carry out the engine upgrades he'd always wanted including an Enlarged Pro Alloy Stealth Intercooler & Stage 3 Re-map...
Now Phil's car is not only running better but running more power too and not forgetting the saving he made on unnecessary engine work 😁
