Dear Customers, Many small businesses rely greatly on the loyalty of their customers, we are no exception. Without our regular customers, we would certainly not be able to stay in business. We sell a good range of products and we know that sometimes you are able to purchase these products online at a reduced price, as larger companies have better buying power than we do, and we understand everyone needs to be frugal with their money at this time. However, there has been a n...umber of occasions recently where we have given advice, which has been gained through our product knowledge, training and skills, to a number of people who have then gone on to buy the product we recommend via Amazon or some such company. One, personal actually ordered the product on her phone from Amazon while I was advising her, she saved 25p. Online companies don’t offer you the support and product knowledge that we do, is it fair that you come to us to fit your dog with a harness only for you to then take a note of the product and size and order on Amazon saving £1? The same goes for dog food, we are sole stockists for Eden and have taken time to advise people on what is best for their dog, given free samples away and assisted the best way that we can. It is not only upsetting for us to then see or be told that people can save £1.50 by buying it online and have it delivered directly to their home. We are happy to deliver free of charge too. What I am trying to say is that small businesses need your support to remain open, we need your support, as the saying goes, use it or lose it. We cannot compete with these big corporations, we are a small local business, before long there will be no small businesses left and your only option will be to shop with the large corporations who are busy making money for their shareholders. We can understand you saving £10 or so on a product, but for the sake of a pound or so, do you think that you could support us by buying locally? We certainly hope that you will consider what it means to have a local pet shop, with personal service and local people working there and that maybe you can consider what that means to us each time you buy online. This is an X-ray of a 2 week old puppy. Look at how far the bones have to grow before they become a proper bony joint! This is why you should never let puppies jump, walk up/down stairs, over exercise or over train. Doing to much impact activity at a young age will cause serious issues later in life, or even at a young age as hip dysplasia and other orthopaedic conditions are rising in puppies! Remember the puppy rule for every month increase activity by 5 minutes! For exam...ple an 8 week old puppy only needs 10 minutes physical activity a day - a 6 month old only needs 30 minutes a day of physical activity!! *physical activity includes - going for a walk, training, playing fetch, running, playing with other dogs etc.
Enjoy your new puppy but remember you wouldn't make a 6 month old baby run a mile a day so don't make your puppy either!

What a fab place run by a fab owner! I visited for the first time yesterday, my rescue Greyhound was being spayed and I wanted to get her a little present! Alison was so helpful, we chatted about different food, toys and teeth treatment for Nala. Being a first time pet owner it can be a little daunting with a million and one different brands and things we need to know. Alison is so knowledgeable and extremely helpful, she put me at ease and gave me some great advice. I can’t wait until Nala is back on her paws so I can bring her in and get a few more bits! I would recommend anyone to this gorgeous little shop! Thank you Alison X

I love this store. My sister has a Chihuahua and I have a Labradoodle, we have both of them on Eden Dog food which we get from My Favourite Pet Shop, love the name BTW as it is my favourite pet shop lol. We popped in this week to get the food and ended up buying a bling collar for both dogs and matching Christmas jumpers for little and large! They both look awesome! If you haven't visited this store then you are really missing out! Well done My Favourite Pet Shop, you are amazing and cheaper than Pets at Home!

I just wanted to say a massive Thankyou to Alison of My Favourite Pet Shop. Who not only delivered my live crickets for me on her way home as I couldn't get to the shop, but there were hundreds of very well kept bugs,who were indulging on dandelion leaves. I've never known a pet shop to feed their bugs. And the meal worms were being fed bananas!! Lol. Healthy bugs means a happy and healthy Ghecko. I will not be going anywhere else from now on!!!xxxxx

But she is not just a shop she is also a groomer. So any breed and size. Nothing is to much trouble for this team. Always there to help...

Fabulous shop packed floor to celling with everything you could possibly need. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Competitively priced too, I was surprised as much cheaper than a large local pet superstore. I will most definitely be back. I love to support independent retailers too, use it or lose it! Must also mention the helpful and knowledgeable staff, nice to receive a personal service. Excellent!
