Our Prep department had an awesome time out in the hills on Friday. They took on some of the challenges of Moel Tan y Coed aka Velvet Hill. Making the right route choices and helping each other were essential over some of the rocky terrain! ⛰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 #outdoorlearning #adventure

Congratulations and a huge well done to Matteo in Year 6 who won the Myddelton English Department Key Stage 2 Midwinter Tales Competition with his Greta Thunberg inspired story!

On Wednesday evening, three teams from Myddelton College visited St Bridgid's College to take part in the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition. All three teams performed with confidence and integrity and did the college proud. Congratulations to our intermediate team and to our 6th form senior team who won their competitions and congratulations to Maddy Ellis who won best speaker of the evening.

Well done to Harry Mead for partaking in the District Final of the Rotary Young Musician of the year 2020 on Saturday at Poulton Hall on the Wirral. Harry was the youngest and was highly commended. A great experience for a budding musician!

Last week, Year 10 made the most of the tough weather conditions outside and took some time to learn some vitally important first aid skills! So they can be prepared in case things don't go quite right! Well done everyone.

Matteo in Year 6 put together a fascinating presentation on Napoli for his classmates after his recent trip to Italy! Thank you Matteo, we all learned a lot! 🇮🇹

This week saw the return of our after-school activities. We had some new additions such as the Random Acts of Kindness Club (RAK club) and Latin and Ballroom Dancing. This term also saw the return of our Year 7 and Year 8 Climbing Club. Everyone was super excited to get stuck in! 🧗‍♀️😁🧗‍♂️

Our Intensive English students spent some time last week demonstrating their amazing #bushcraft skills. They processed wood, made fire and baked some delicious damper bread! Awesome work everyone! 🌲🔥😋 #outdoorlearning #survival

We are beginning our celebrations for Chinese New Year here at Myddelton College. 🎉 Our, Christmas Tree has had a makeover and is now our Chinese New Year Tree, full of celebration and decorated with resolutions and hopes from our students for the year to come! #2020 #yearoftherat
