This maybe small but it's a very impressive, modern museum full of interesting items from UK narrow gauge railways , especially from North Wales.

There are hands on items for all, interactive audio visual equipment.

See THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE'S creator Rev Awdry 's office preserved and learn of his world famous storys.

The museum is free, but please donate what you can.

If you have any old narrow gauge railways items to donate, please contact them.

It's next door along the platform of the perfect ,famous Talyllyn railway.

Both need volunteers so please help if you can.

Thankyou.

I've been coming here my whole life and since my dad died, am now carrying on the tradition with my husband and son. Although the railway has continued to develop over the years, the staff remain friendly and welcoming and the original pioneering spirit remains.

My visits to this lovely village were made complete by travelling on a steam locomotive up into the countryside. Made me feel like a kid again. Friendly helpful staff. A great experience.
