The mark of a great organisation

I can confirm that had I written this review 10 days ago my review would've been significantly different as my experience of Newport Caravans tied in with many of those views expressed below. Fantastic sales service but rotten after-care service. However in response to my complaints about the lack of communication I can instead sing the praises of the organisation and especially one of the directors Mark Massey. He went out of his way to rectify all the problems and personally became involved in ironing out all the issues I had experienced. I firmly believe this is the mark of a good company – to recognise when things have gone wrong and to turn them around so that you do not lose a customer (and I almost certainly would have gone elsewhere following my early experiences). Instead I firmly believe that Mark intends to sort these issues out and would sort any problems you have so you can buy both vehicles and the after care service with confidence. Thank you Mark.

We recently returned to caravanning after a 4 year break, and having bought our previous caravan from Newport caravans and full service/support with 2 previous caravans it was our first and only choice to return to Newport Caravans for our new purchase. The sales and after care team have been superb, including quickly rectifying an omission in the pre-arranged works readying it for collection, and an appropriate apology. We are very pleased and confident that Newport Caravans are meeting our needs. The shop and cafe are super on site as well.

I have bought a new caravan form this dealer. Very helpful at point of sale. I had a couple of issues that they resolved. Since my ownership of a month I have developed problems with the tracker and alarm system. They are still happy to help but I am disappointed that they have not contacted Swift or Sargeant on my behalf,leaving me to make numerous calls to them having to take photos etc. and I even am more disappointed that they cannot send an engineer out to the place where it is stored which is 60 plus miles away. Only because I am told by Sargeant that the fault is most likely just a matter of changing a small electronic unit or swapping over two wires. Why this cannot be done by a mobile engineer is beyond me. My problem remains unresolved at the monent. Any caravanner will realise that it is much easier for a man with a van to travel 120 miles than it is to hitch up, tow the van 60 miles, leave the caravan while it is fixed, then do a return trip to collect.for me it would be 240 miles all tolled ... so I am sorry but i think they could do better.... if it was a car... the situation would be very different. .. collection services etc.. clearly all about margins of profit and not customer satisfaction. ..

we bought our brand new swift caravan from Wandahome (south cave) dealership, caravan started to reveal very poor build quality issues meaning we couldn't use new caravan. Wandahome was more interested in arguing with Swift to apportion blame and warranty costs, whist we were left with an unusable caravan. Newport Caravans stepped up as a swift dealer, resolved the warranty claim with swift and fixed the issues. Really efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Not at all impressed with the after sales service we received. Having called to discuss a problem that occurred with our new battery, we were transferred to the shop as these deal with batteries. Only to be greeted with a terrible attitude and tone of voice from the woman taking the call. BE AWARE all they will tell you is..... You signed a contract maybe you should have read it first 😡 Not exactly the attitude expected when asking for help!!!
