Nicola Peros Ballet

Nicola Peros Ballet is a leading RAD ballet school in Barry and Cardiff. We teach children from the age of 3 + and adults. All the RAD grades are taught.

Welcome to Nicola Peros Ballet. We are an independent ballet school founded by the school’s Principal and RAD Registered Teacher, Nicola Peros and our teaching methods follow the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. Boys and girls can join us for lessons from the age of 3 upwards and we are able to teach all the RAD grades right up to Advanced Level.


We have also recently introduced adult ballet classes which are proving to be very popular, allowing many students to learn and discover ballet for the first time in their lives. The classes are designed to promote the RAD Dance for Lifelong Wellbeing initiative. The Royal Academy of Dance recently commissioned research the findings of which prove that ballet, as well as other forms of dance, are an excellent way for adults (both male and female) to keep fit and keep their minds active as they age.

As well as providing a safe and enjoyable environment in which to study ballet, our emphasis is also on developing good technique. This is important to get right from the very beginning of training so that students develop at the right pace avoiding putting any strain or stress on the body. As well as teaching good ballet technique, we also specialise in teaching a method pioneered by Marie Walton-Mahon which helps students to understand the depth of training muscle memory and how this can help them to achieve their personal best in classical ballet. This method is known as Progressing Ballet Technique.
In 2016 the Nicola Peros Ballet School was chosen to take part in the Lord Mayor of Cardiff’s Matinee Performance at the St. David’s Hall, Cardiff.
